I'm not a really big fan of the vampire survivor gameplay, but the art style, music and the glimpses of plot we see through the game made it worth seeing things through to the true ending. Devil wings OP

Honestly just not very fun for how much I've heard about the games over the years. A few nice parts and definitely an improvement over the first game that has absolutely atrocious boss fights though.

I'm changing my review having finished the first story. This game is absolutely fantastic, it has clear heart from the Armored core series while trying to add modern feelings in a good way. ACs feel amazing to pilot all the way from lightning fast 350 speed mechs to the lumbering tanks with unreal firepower. Anyone telling you that weapons arent viable is likely a fool who was too scared to branch out from the well known options. Light mechs can absolutely trash others if you use your speed to dart in and out making the quick mecha fantasy feel very real.
Try out different parts raven, put together unique builds and think on your feet.

Games fantastic and the devs are currently very active in trying to smooth out any issues. the more people play the more they are starting to realize that barbatos isn't the powerhouse people wanted to call it on day one and so you see more matches with people trying out different mobile suits and while you're going to see things like sazabi and zaku frequently, it doesn't make you feel like the game is lost or anything silly like that. It would be nice if the devs would make it clear to players that different suits have different distance dashes and things like that but otherwise

extremely solid game. Also in all of my time with the game so far I have only lost connection one single time.

The game looks great in action, but the cult management side of things is very shallow while the action gameplay side of things is simple enough that even on the highest difficulty it wont present much of a challenge. The concept is good but you find the runs blurring together as you basically draw every tarot card you want every run and the weapons feel very similar with some variations being more of a burden when they unlock like the useless necromancy or poison "upgrades" when I would honestly at this point rather just take the regular sword in every run if I can't get the godly forms.

the game is neat in concept but lacks a lot of execution that would leave me upset if I had paid 25 dollars for this.

Final boss was really cool and actually had moments in the fight where things caught me off guard in a good way though.

The best game none of your friends will commit to playing with you (scientists can't figure out why). fun stages, amazing music, good and funny guns or even a sword to throw at your enemy ducks. if you had at least 3 people willing to spend a single night playing a single game then this game would be worth the cost of those 3 copies for what you'd get out of that night alone.

the game seems to be everything I want out of a roguelike with the different spells and portals that can lead to wildly different builds. The problem is the game misleads you in a way I want to describe as bad faith. Things like Death bolt dealing dark damage and being "dark, sorcery, conjuration" but enemies that are resistant to arcane damage will resist death bolt because hey why not, or saving up for the arch conjurer ability only to find out that your summoned skeletons gain the additional damage, but not the health or range from this expensive skill because again why not. There's a lot of other combos that just don't work because the game says "no" behind the scenes but that's the general idea. I like the game well enough and the idea is fantastic but If you are going in to try and put together cool builds then I can't recommend it since the frustration of having a game shut you down outside of it's own explained mechanics just kills a lot of the fun

It just feels fantastic to play. without spoiling the actual fights, the boss fights themselves in the game are few and underwhelming, but the vast majority of the game more than makes up for it letting you feel like a cyber killing machine
