Here I was naively hoping that I'd be able to hang on to my belief that the game still has an ounce of good left in it. Well, here's the long and short of it:
The devs had recently blindly added additional health to PVE enemies well above actual player health in order to force even PVE players to P2W. The newest weapons that can counter the increased values are either a single weapon for free that still requires you to use it in it's weakened state where it will not help you early on, and then invest in it for it to only be on par, and a paid LMG that only sometimes works to make enemies that were pre-update, being one shot in the head by the grand majority of the over 300+ (including reskins) guns in the game that now mean nothing because you're likely to die using them because the A.I. will always be faster than a player or will simply overpower the team through sheer numbers advantage on top of eating your damage.

This isn't even talking about the recent removal of top played Special Operation missions, seemingly in an effort to hide the fact that the devs have terrible prices on items in the shop for Warface Dollars or crowns while generally speaking, barely adding anything for those currencies other than the life line that is Resurrection Coins for PVE players (and even then only for crowns meaning the missions you do in order to acquire those same crown items can be bled out by the need to restock coins) and overpriced under-powered weapons and skins whereas the more valuable stuff is available for only their premium currency "Kredits" with no way for a free player to even earn a single one.

I originally spoke on the game with a positive outlook speaking about how I didn't need to spend a cent to play my way. Well, I still don't need a cent to play, but it sure as hell is not my way. Put simply, Warface no longer respects it's PVE, already had a terribly handled PVP due to the constant P2W aspects, and it's only making it's low numbers in the playerbase continually worse by making more and more leave by refusing to listen to player feedback.

It amazes me, how much good there once was in their PVE that they threw away in a single update while refusing to acknowledge a WORD of the playerbase's concerns prior to it's release and leading up to it several updates prior with more and more changes that nobody asked for. When you decide to make even PVE, P2W you know the devs don't know a thing about good game design.

Unless drastic changes are made, Warface is not worth your time.

After nearly 4, thousand, hours... you'd think I'd be bored by now right?

Kinda, but I still like it.

And that pretty much sums up my journey through Warframe after all this time. A game I NEVER thought I'd put as much time as I did into it. Well... also because steam is kinda wrong, in-game states I only put in 2 thousand hours but, that's probably because being "in-game" only counts if you're in a mission probably.

Everyone's gonna have their own story with Warframe. Some shorter than others, as a still constant problem that only gets worse with each year according to more long time players, is our new player experience. There is just so much stuff in Warfame. A blessing, and a curse at the same time. Except... that's where many do seem to want to argue that. Sure the content is plentiful, thus so is the grind to everything you'll acquire. Yet, the argument comes up often as "does it ever change?" "Do you ever do anything different?" And, well, to tell the truth so no-one feels mislead. No. Warframe's core gameplay loop, is a means to an end really. Infact, a better way to put it. Eventually, you either decide you're done with Warframe, because you have everything you want, or you never stop playing because just wanting to play is enough. I think TB said it best, "The point of Warframe is to get all the stuff in Warframe, really." For some, you'll only show up untill you have that one thing, you really really wanted unless it's literally impossible to get. Because that also comes up. There are things, you will never get. Whether for Legal reasons on D.E.'s part, or because limited time items, were tied to a certain past time that has not and will not return, there are things you can't get. So if there's something you REALLY REALLY want, but it's not coming back for a specific reason thus making it forever out of reach, why play? becomes the question, for some. And frankly, while I want to consider those people as just picky, we all play games for our own reasons and seek fun in our own ways. And for that reason, I love Warframe. Because my reason is rule, of cool. Just how cool can I make what I'm doing. Maybe today, I wanna mess around with a grenade launcher, that's also a pirate's cannon, that can fire a shotgun like grape shot too, because of course we have something like that. Maybe I want to use a big ass chain gun/heavy machine gun with nearly 12,000 rounds in reserve, literally shooting people through 2 walls and 5 crates because of course I can do that. Maybe I wanna just wanna use an electric beam cannon, that connects to other enemies as I hit my primary target at the same time, because of course we have one of those. Or, maybe, just maybe, I just wanna take an assault rifle, because that's okay too. Warfame let's you choose just how far you wanna take things and it all comes down to how long you stick with it. Because I will be truthful, half of what a just described, you maybe heard of if you've been looking up the game, or maybe someone told you about it once, but realistically you won't see any of it within your hands without either paying for it, or working your way up to it. And I'm talking WORKING your way up to it. Warframe tries it's hardest not to be intrusive with the timers on thing like building weapons a gear, collecting mods and upgrades as you progress but sometimes you either just want to pay to be lazy, or pay to look awesome. And honestly, Warframe does it in the most non-intrusive ways in my eyes at least. Other games I've heard and seen about LOVE their microtransations, if it's valuable and useful to the player, YOU ARE PAYING FOR IT OR YOU'RE NOT GETTING IT. Warframe? I mean, ya could dude but, ya can be patient and play to craft it. For some, half the fun IS working to craft something, the feeling of growing stronger of your own actions. For others, just let'em use it now, it can't hurt them. This isn't GTA, you're not gonna buy something and then ruin someone's day with it buy destroying something that took them hours to earn, Warframe's PVE and thank ♥♥♥♥ it is in all honesty. I've heard the joke thrown around, "if everyone's overpowered, than nobody's overpowered" The actual grievances with that statement aside, aside from a few ♥♥♥♥-ish things you do with very specific frames, you're not gonna be doing damage to another play's game unless you're just in the wrong place for your experience with the game. Trust me, I lived that once, it can happen. But it only happens because being new will always have growing pains. Warframe takes time, ALOT OF TIME. And that's where I feel an ACTUAL point of contention can come from. Some people DO NOT have the time to put into a game like Warfame and I can't blame someone like that. Casual players exist all throughout gaming and getting elitist about them isn't gonna help anyone, it's just going to annoy the stuck up, and drive away the new players. But for those with the time and willing to make the plunge there's not only ALOT of game ahead, but plenty who will be willing to help as well. Here's a tip, if you have a friend who has spent a ton of time with Warfame already, it's up to you to ask him to "carry" if you're really THAT lazy, but unless he's a stuck up prick he should be willing to give you help as you go along. Infact, that's the biggest gripe I never argue, you shouldn't play Warfame blind, or alone. It's REALLY easy to burn-out with how much there is to get and even easier to want to quit if you want something REALLY specific. It something the game never really solves and is just something a newer player deals with or leaves. And by all means, I understand, but know we welcome all willing to join in on the fun, because that's Warfame's point. Fun. Rule of cool, Get everything you can and look cool doing it, at your own pace and let what makes the game fun for you decide how far you go. But if enough is enough, ya can't, don't want to, or refuse to stick around, that's alright. It's not for everyone, but if ya wanna come back, your accounts almost quite literally always there. Case and point, I know people who haven't signed in for over 700 days, according to Warframe. The account, still exists and we always welcome anyone willing to join or join back. But hey, I'm just one person, there's others who can say what I did better and with more detail but I felt like being honest is needed.

We're all just trying to have fun with a Space ninja game after all. It's free too. It's up to you.
