Resounding meh.

Updating as of 5/29/2020:

Now that Denuvo has been removed, I'm updating my review.

I previously said this game was excellent but that I couldn't recommend it while Denuvo Anti-Cheat was forced on players even for the single player campaign. Nothing has changed with Doom Eternal. It's still an excellent game and an absolutely top notch shooter.

Prior to the Denuvo debacle, I would have given this game my wholehearted recommendation. Now, I would say that I can very much recommend this game IF you go into the purchase with the expectation and understanding that Bethesda and ID have already made one very poor decision that ignited community anger and there is no guarantee that they won't make more in the future.

If you can live with that, absolutely buy this game.
