In 9 BBY, Rick was stationed as the door technician of Imperial Post 8L-055 on the planet Koboh. During his tenure, the Jedi Knight Cal Kestis attacked the post and killed many of Rick's colleagues. When the Jedi entered a corridor leading to a turbolift up to the Summit Ridge, the enraged Door Technician confronted Kestis, crying out and charging at the Jedi in the hopes of earning a promotion and commendation if command were watching.[[/i]
