Update 3 (August 2023): Today I played sandstorm thinking I could relax for a bit. I am a clown. The voice chat is bugged and doesn't work, and its the only game in my library that cant seem to figure out how to function with on a 1440 monitor when the other two are 1080. I wish I could leave a new negative review every time I played this game. Oh, and it still opens my browser every time I play the game to try to make me connect my nonexistent epic games account to it. I really do not like this game.

Update 2 (Late 2022): This game is like cigarettes. It gives you cancer, and just because I smoke them doesn't mean you should start.

Update: NWI fixed the error referenced below. You know what? Still don't buy it. I'm keeping this review because, while I will continue to play sandstorm, I can't recommend to anyone who expects anything from it. I expect nothing and I'm still disappointed. /shrug

Sandstorm has been my favorite game since it came out, but now you can only play for a minute or two before the server kicks you off due to anti cheat authentication failure. When you finally close the game after twenty minutes of trying to make it work, it will have opened up four tabs requesting permission to link sandstorm to epic games. I do not have an epic games account and i do not plan on making an epic games account, so why is epic telling me im already logged in? I thought I had a virus the first time it happened because it had opened twelve tabs saying i was logged in as some random username

Forenote:
If you are looking at playing LiS, you may want to play Before the Storm first (review here ). LiS is a very emotional game, but some moments are muted if you haven't played the prequel. This is up to whether you play things chronologically or by order of release. I found it to be worth it to play BtS first, but LiS is incredible regardless.
The Game:
LiS plays like an interactive movie, with the player occasionally controlling the movement and actions of the main character. Most of the protagonists dialogue is selected by the player.
Pros/Cons:
+ Unique time rewinding system
+ Graphics are beautiful.
+ Longer than prequel by ~5 hours
+ Choices feel like and do have more weight and influence the story more.
+ Replayable
+ Memorable story and characters
Personal Opinion:
Life is Strange is one of the few games (alongside the prequel) to give me wet eyes. It was a great game for someone who hadn't previously played many story games, and I didn't want it to end.
Buying Recommendation:
Buy both games and play them with as little prior knowledge as possible. Only play when you can tune out everything else going on and get drawn into the game. Close the blinds and turn off the other screen. It will make for a really special experience.

The Enhanced Edition includes:

Life is Strange: Before the Storm (BtS) is a wonderful stand-alone game, and even better if played before the original game. Although the original game is better in many ways, if you're playing blind, BtS is a great choice if you want to continue the story with the original later. Mostly depends on whether you watch things chronologically or by order of release.

This game has great potential, but it has no playerbase. I am recommending it on the fact that is is indeed a great concept, but just needs to grow before it is any good. I spent a fair ammount of time searching for another player, wasting time. Once it grows, however, it will be a lot of fun. If you want to play, you may want to find a few friends to buy it as well, as so that you are more likely to have someone to play with. That said, it does indeed get boring after playing for a while. For now though; good concept, good execution, ruined by lack of other players.

Guess we're all just looking at reviews while we mourn.
Epic blessed Rocket League the same way Epic blessed Sandstorm. Now we gotta throw the whole game away.
