Do you like child abuse, piles of ♥♥♥♥, schezophrenic mothers, naked children, umbicilical chords, satan, many organs, blood, piss, flies, spiders, monsters, traumatic backstories and the bible? If yes, then buy this game! It's as cheap as the piles and piles of ♥♥♥♥ laying around. c:
Have fun!

This game is absolutely amazing. The art, the music, and especially the narrative. In 2007 when Braid was first released on the Xbox store, it gained mass popularity, and I never really understood why, until now, after seeing the fantastic ending. Before seeing the ending, I thought it was okay, but not deserving the popularity it had. But the ending is a massive twist, and presented amazingly well. I won't spoil it, I urge you to play this game and see it for yourself. It is definitely worth finishing one of the most difficult puzzle games I have ever played for this ending. It's a great end to all the effort put in. Really.

The game's controls were very creative, I loved being able to manipulate time. The controls (forgetting about the epic twist at the end) brought a lovely fresh of breath air to the cliche story of 'catch a princess'.

The game is a puzzle-platformer, and it's puzzles were good. Extremely good. Each puzzle took me quite a while to finally solve, and they were each very clever. The layout of the levels makes it seem like they are easy to solve, but in reality, each level takes about 30+ minutes to solve each.

Each world brought new game mechanics, and taught each mechanic very subtlely, and not in your face. Some of the puzzles were re used, but the change in game mechanics changed the re used levels almost completely. For example, there was a world 3 level used in world 6, but because of the different game mechanics, it was much, much harder to solve in world 6.
Some people dislike the re-use of levels, but I, personally, liked it. I think it's cool to see how different game mechanics work on the same levels. Also, the reused levels were used as mechanic tutorials, making the player think "Ahh! Well I've done this before, so I can do it again easily", before realising that they can't solve the puzzle the same way due to different mechanics. As I said before, very clever.

The games graphics and sound track were utterly beautiful. I love the comic book style the game has, it looks amazing. The classic music style matches the theme of the game perfectly. However, I would have prefered a couple visuals to go along with the storybook narration. I think the lack of visuals whilst being given a narrative is a turn-off for some people, myself included. This is a shame, since the story is sensational.

I give this game a 8/10, missing two marks solely because of the lack of visuals during narration. Easily reccommended.
