Yes, it is Halo (So the story and core gameplay mechanics are good) and these are ports of old games, (So don't expect amazing graphics) but that doesn't excuse them from running THIS strangely, especially not after all this time! Weird stuff like being unable to crouch while moving and button presses effecting the game while you're in pause menus are concerning enough, but lots of people seem to be reporting worse issues like muffled audio and matchmaking problems. Subtitles don't work outside of cutscenes and almost the entirety of the visual settings are restricted to 3 presets with nothing more specific.

But if you're lucky enough to not be hit with most of this it's a good time.

However the menu for customizing armour is awful, requiring you to open a new menu each time you want to see what an armour piece looks like. And it looks like you HAVE to play multiplayer versus matches if you want to even unlock anything...

Halo CE Update Edits: The Armour Customization menus are a lot better and the issues with crouching and in game menus seem to have been smoothed over! Unlocking new armour is still limited to only through matchmade games though...

This is a wild, yet precise, crazy game! The potential for advanced tech is there, but it's mixed with a dash of chaos and a sprinkle of randomness that always keeps you on the edge of your seat. The weapons almost all behave exactly how you expect them to meaning your knowledge of the game can make the difference between victory and defeat, but whether you can seize the chance at victory is a whole 'nother story!

Pros:
-Fun and interesting weapons!
-Games can last as long as you want. (Easy to pick up for a few rounds or to marathon for hours of fun)
-Sharp controls
-Quack Button
-Single player challenges
-Online and local multiplayer
-Solid level editor and workshop submissions
-Lots of fun, unlockable hats!

Cons:
-May be too hectic for some
-Not all items are enabled online
-Less fun without friends? (But still pretty fun)

I've played a fair amount at this point, but have yet to really reach the mid-late game. I have 3 characters roughly around levels 20-30 and I've played mostly with friends or alone.
The TLDR of it is: It's worth a shot. If you and some friends are looking for a game to sink some time into, you could do a Lot worse than Wakfu. While the early game can be a little generic and the learning curve a little steep, The unique classes and combat system offer plenty of depth to sink your teeth into and best of all, it's free to play! There's no risk at all to giving it a shot.

Pros:
- Classes are very unique: Each and every class seems to have 1-2 unique "gimmicks", for lack of a better term, that make playing that class unlike the others. While most prioritize dealing damage, they all put a unique twist on how each can do it most effectively.

- Skill sets are very flexible and easy to experiment with: Through your first ~30 levels you'll be unlocking new spells that you can switch in and out of your active loadout at any time between battles, meaning you won't have to worry about specializing your skill set right from the start. Feel free to mix and match to find out what works for you. You also get 5 free character slots so there's even room there to experiment quite a bit.

- Art and music are very nice.

- Solid combat system: The combination of grid and turn based combat works pretty well. It keeps positioning and skill order important without being totally overwhelming and the turn timer prevents turns from taking tooo long.

-Sidekick system is helpful for single players: The game offers you a rotating selection of sidekick characters that can fill slots in your party. They're fairly weak, but level up over time and can still be very helpful at times.

Cons:
- Early game is pretty generic: In terms of early game missions, you're going to be doing a lot of running around and "killing X creatures" or "talking to X NPCs". Thankfully the simple missions give you time to get a handle on the combat.

- Tutorials aren't great: There are a handful of important mechanics that are not explained by any tutorials and just require you to play and learn about on your own. Mainly, the Lock/Dodge mechanic and Professions. Also, spell descriptions can be confusing at the start. Additionally, a handful of missions don't tell you where you need to go and when or how you travel to other continents.

- Community is fairly quiet: While not nearly "dead", the community isn't exactly bustling either.

- Unskippable cutscenes (Sometimes): For some reason certain cutscenes can't be skipped and if you don't care about the story they can drag on a bit as the text can scroll kind of slowly.

- Team play recommended (?): Many of the dungeons almost require you to be in a party with 1-2 other players or to be well over leveled.

- Team play can be difficult: There are few convenience options for grouping up and playing together. No quick join options. Sometimes dungeons will lock out members if there are too many players even if you're below party member limits. And arguably worst of all, you can't replay story missions, so if you have a friend joining you after you've played through the first few quests, you won't be able help them in their story missions. You'll have to resort to running dungeons or overworld fights.

Figured I might as well write a review because this game obviously needs more positive reviews!
To get right into it:
Pros:
-A whole LOT of content even without the DLCs. (but they're each so much fun you might as well get them too!)
-Every character has their own backstory and unique personality. Whether Player character or NPC (In the Psycho's case he has two.)
-Each playable character has 3 skill trees so even you two people play the same character they can still play them differently.
-The experience gain is paced really well so that by the end of the game you should complete your first skill tree and then be ready for your next one when you start the next difficulty.
-The next difficulty ACTUALLY PLAYS DIFFERENTLY than the last! You run into more elite (Badass) enemies and elemental advantages/disadvantages are Much more Apparent. They don't just crank up the numbers and call it more content!
-Handsome Jack is a villian you will LOVE to HATE! He's simultaneuosly hilarious, narcicssistic, and evil as all hell!
-Each side quest is it's own little story. Whether you're covering for an injured delivery boy or collecting friends for a tea party you're never sent on a mission without a clear reason why and some often times hilarious dialogue to go with it.
-Voice acting isreally good! No complaints in that department.
-This game is pretty old so when it goes on sale the sales are Hella On Sale!
-4 PLAYER CO-OP.

Cons:
-It's not uncommon for dialogue/subtitles to run over each other when certain events take place at the same time.
-This is a more artistic gnit pick, but Gearbox could use some work when it comes to acting animation.
-Looting can get a little stale after a while. I often run into long patches of loot I don't really need (Kind of dealt with in True Vault Hunter Mode (Hard mode) when I need more elemental guns)

One HUNDRED Percent do I recommend this game! The characters, writing, and story are enough to carry this game to the top of my charts! From protagonists you love, to villians you love to hate, both the main and side cast of this game will have you feeling every emotion under the sun and even a couple from over the moon. I can't remember the last game I've played where I've cheered out loud and thrown my hands in the air in sheer, honest enthusiasm for such awesome twists and turns and characters and story! Honestly, if this game wasn't broken into chapters I might have played through the whole thing in one sitting.

I'd recommend having knowledge of the Borderlands universe before purchasing this game, but if you're not one for shooters, Tales from the Borderlands will still stand on it's own in terms of story. So don't let that stop you from experiencing this incredible rollercoaster!

To balance out my praise, there are a few shortcomings that this game experiences. Mainly the visuals. You don't have to be an animator to see that all the animations are just a little bit off and really darn stiff. Additionally the more open walking sections have you moving at a painfully slow pace. Thankfully there aren't too many of those.

Gotta say the fact that something as essential (Essential for this kind of game anyway) as MULTIPLAYER is a payed for DLC is utter nonsense.
I repeat! You Have to BUY ONLINE MULTIPLAYER as a seperate DLC. I see now why "Multiplayer" isn't included in the tags.

Now, on to my (admitttedly limited) experience with the game:
It was okay I guess. Nothing really grabbed my attention. The graphics were nice enough, the controls worked, the enemies kind of wandered towards me as I kited them all to death with little trouble at all. I found that my abilities had trouble acitvating however. Many times I'd press the button (even 2 or 3 times) and nothing would happen. The ability icon would be in full colour, but it just wouldn't activate.

Eventually I reached the first boss and that's where this games shortcomings really brought themselves out. The boss was this armless zombie who spawned swarms of flies and threw giant spike balls. Sounds interesting in concept, but the execution was rather poorly done.

1) The swarms of flies are constantly moving towards me which results in a constant wall between me and the boss and he always spawns more as soon as I clear a swarm.

2) The flies each have a noticable amount of health. They are not as easy to clear as you'd think flies would be.

3) Every time he attacked, And I do mean EVERY TIME he attacked, the boss would speak one of his 3-4 sayings. And with his neverending wall of flies you can imagine that those lines would get repetitive.

4) Eventually the flies started spawning with elemental enhancements which didn't seem like a problem at first, until one fly touched me and I was frozen and then instagibbed by the swarms.

5) I levelled up like, 7-10 times just on those flies alone, in like, a few minutes. To me there's something wrong with a boss fight if the minions He's spawning are strong enough to warrant that much of a reward.

TLDR: 1) Visuals and music are nice
2) Controls work for the most part
3) You have to BUY ONLINE MULTIPLAYER
4) Bosses can be frustrating to fight
5) Character sayings get annoying
6) Can't shoot diagonally
7) Get's pretty old really fast
