You can guard normally some of the enemy attack which cause u to lose some health, then gain some of the health back through perfect guard or hit the enemy. At the same time, the perfect guard can break the enemy stance (to the point enemy get staggered with heavy attack) and break the enemy weapon (enemy lose damage deal to us). The perfect guard mechanic is the most rewarding combat system in the game that we wish all the soul-like genre to adapt.
