Game good. It lack a bit of the polish you get from Ace Combat but makes up for it with some really great missions. I look forward to seeing what else we get from this dev

Speaking as a person who has invested far more money into tabletop warhammer than I care to consider, who has read dozens of black library books this game is the best representation of 40k I've ever seen outside of writing. There is so much love and attention to detail in this game that it could truly have only been made by people who are enormous fans of the setting. I don't want to spoil things before the game is even fully out but let me say the scene with the chapter banner was AMAZING and it might not have even been the coolest moment in the game. I constantly felt like I was seeing the stories and miniatures I know so well brought to life, it was a really remarkable thing.

The performance is also like, weirdly good? I only have a 3700x // RX 7800XT and it ran flawlessly all the way through the campaign at 1440P, on Linux no less. It's pretty remarkable. Really feels like the time they spent during the delay was very well spent indeed.

If you care about warhammer 40k literally at all I cannot recommend this game strongly enough. Even if you don't I'd say it stands quite well on its own merit as well

I've been pretty into 40k for years now, multiple armies etc- some of them even painted!.

There's been some really great games that utilize the setting over the past few years and I think that this might very well be my favorite. There's a tremendous amount of polish, well thought out mechanics, and the devs clearly understand the setting very well indeed. If I have a single complaint it's the the difficulty progression curve feels like it gets a bit off kilter as you get into the mid game with some random huge spikes but this is a fairly minor complaint and the spikes are generally manageable.

Strong reccommend here for anyone who enjoys warhammer or tactical strategy games in the vein of XCOM. Devs, if you happen to read this I hope you get a commission on the Grey Knight army I will inevitably start after playing this.

I’m having a tremendous time with this expansion. They really did manage to recapture that sense of discovery from the base game and many of the new weapons feel absolutely incredible to use. I think I’m settling mostly on Milady and may even spec into Dex/Int to run a cold infusion to get the most of it. The combos are so very smooth, it feels absolutely incredible.

I see a bunch of complaints about the difficulty- to me it feels challenging but manageable with or without summons. I did make a point of rolling a new character though because I expected this would be very painful on any of the NG+ cycles with how the scadutree blessings work. I suspect many of the people who are having huge problems are either playing on NG+ or higher (and this is something people knew would be a problem going in) or they used some of the various busted weapons as crutches in the base game. Worth noting when I say all this that my best summon right now is Lhutel at +3 so it’s clearly not a feature I’m making much use of.

If you enjoy Elden Ring this feels like a must buy. It might be worth going in with a fresh character as that is clearly the intended design here.

200+ hours in and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface with this game. I really don't have the words to describe what a remarkable achievement it is. Buy this if you're on the fence

I've been playing these games since Shogun 1 and this is the best the series has been. I'm spending more time considering the strategic layer than I ever have in the past and the decisions are good and engaging. Cannot recommend enough for fans of the series.
