Good game, especially if you enjoy Fallout 4.

This game is HUGE and the expansions only make it an even bigger game. For the first few hours the game is mind blowing and it can be very overwhelming for newer players especially with how useless quest markers can be when travelling from place to place. Multiple areas means many maps and markers on one map will bring you to that map's port to go to the marker's location or an area that leads to the real area. It makes getting around tedious until you unlock all wayshrines. The game is enjoyable and tons and tons of quests with many classes and playstyles means hundreds possibly thousands of hours to be used on this game. One problem I do have with the game is how stupid the craft bag mechanic is. Crafting and everyday life is very difficult without the bag but I don't see the point in paying a monthly fee. If they would release it to buy as a permanent feature like dlc instead of keeping it locked away behind a monthly paywall it would make the game much less tedious for those who like crafting. I have seen posts of people who literally stopped playing the game because they didn't want to pay for the monthly fee but could not play without the craft bag. At 20 bucks for the ridiculously large base game and all expansions it is more than worth it if you need something to keep you busy.

The devs are trying very hard to improve the game but I still can't have much fun with it. Killers are too slow and it can take ages to catch up to a classmate. Their attacks (except for maybe spider's) slow them down and with an already slow movement speed it takes ages to catch up to a classmate. Once you finally do you swing and either miss from the classmate jumping around your non existent hitbox or you down them and they go flying only for a teammate to pick them up before your slow ass can reach them. Survivor is whatever, you either all escape because of a bad killer or get cheesed by a spider respawning over and over again at objective and spraying acid at you. Killer is just too clunky and slow and the more mobile classmates can easily evade attacks and jump around the killer. The devs are trying to make the game easier for newer players which I understand but they are looking at the wrong parts of the game. Buffing slasher is cool yeah but when his new attack basically stops him in his tracks while he is already very slow changes nothing. The new map is very nice and the openess is amazing compared to The Nightmare's maps. The traps are slightly unfair as being blinded or stunned is a high chance of death if you're near a trap. The killer respawn time is already crippling enough as it is but when you spawn on or accidentally walk into a trap and die and have to sit through a long ass respawn time it just isn't fun. An entire team can come back from death just because you were low health and a random turret killed you while you were chasing the last guy which is ridiculous. Most of the game is just sitting in a stupid long respawn timer. The game is enjoyable but the free weekend has brought so many terrible players that have no idea what to do cause of no tutorial so don't even bother. Of course once the FW is over i'm sure the player count will plummet back to what it has been.

This game is good and I haven't run into too many bugs but the combat is utter garbage. Large groups of enemies attacking you all at once and God forbid you attempt to go offensive only for countering to not work or you getting hit from a mile away. There are armored enemies who require a special beatdown move. This move takes ages to fully complete and another enemy can just come over and hit you out of it. This means that if there are 2 armored foes or one with a gun you are practically ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cause they are unkillable. Guns do a million damage in this game and yes you can take a stealthy approach but any attempt to focus on an armed enemy in combat will have enemies running to you and hitting even if you spam counter. The ready gadget button is the same as countering making you pull out your gadget instead of countering half the time. There is a move to instantly knockout an enemy but again it takes ages and an enemy can hit you out of it.

This game is fun... for the first few hours. As an alpha player the lack of content past the first few hours is quite disappointing. You spawn in, do some quests, very quickly go from crappy gear to overpowered gear and then head on to the next region to do it all over again. It is an endless cycle that gets stale incredibly quickly. The fact that the only way to really progress the game is to gain artifacts that only give incredibly minor buffs to very useless stats means there is no reward for progression. I hope that Wollay reconsiders region locking and brings back at least skills so that artifacts can provide true rewards and skills. For now I will continue playing to see everything the game has to offer but will leave a negative review (even though I honestly don't want to) until Wollay changes something.

The game is pretty fun once you get the hang of it. I definitely liked the old gamemodes better than the new ones but the new one is still fun. Survivor is pretty tough and very frustrating at first with most people thinking the killer has wallhacks but if you play killer you will eventually go against good survivors who can lose you just by losing LOS. I know the game is not appealing to many rn until LMS comes back out but you should at least give a try to keep player numbers until it comes out. If you are having trouble like I did, Monto has a great guide he just released on how to hide from the killer and lose LOS. Items are a huge part of surviving and without perks it is kind of a pain to find items but they are relatively easy to get through leveling so make sure you use them. I think this game can make a comeback if people stop viewing it as a dbd clone and give it a try, hopefully through a free weekend if the devs agree.

Early Access Review
As a big fan of DBD I can definitely recommend from my time played. Many people just assume that it is just dbd with a slight coat of paint and in ways it is but there are many major differences. For starters, chases are practically non existent, YOU MUST USE STEALTH, killers are intentionally overpowered to easily down and kill survivors. Killers are supposed to be OP in games so when DBD comes along with looping, killers become the weak. This game actually portrays killers as they should be and many survivors from dbd think that they should be able to just run around the killer forever. The killer can easily kill you in seconds if they follow you, there are many bushes around the map however which can almost completely cover you making stealth required. The progression system is very limited with pretty much the same system as dbd's except survivors can now have abilities, you can upgrade abilities, and you can only run two perks at a time. The game has a fast paced almost parkour like mobility system and it can be really fun to run around just climbing walls and jumping on stuff. I see many people complaining about dying really quickly with the new update and that is like the point. You join a match, get some blood, then escape or die in less than 5 or 6 minutes where DBD's matches can last up to 15 minutes and be pure hell. With the game's limited progression system and linearity I can easily see someone getting bored of this game very quickly so here's hoping that they add in some more gamemodes unlike another game I wont say.

A decently fun loot and shoot game that is mostly comprised of copy and paste fetch quests. Not incredibly enjoyable as a single player game but with friends it is highly enjoyable. One issue I have with it is how little the atmosphere improves as you progress. You go from one bandit filled desert area to another bandit filled desert area with little change in scenery. The only changes are additions of even more annoying enemies that i'd rather skip then fight just due to the sheer numbers of them though many continue to chase after you when you run. The story is also barely existent and you can tell the devs were more focused on the loot and shoot part of the game which I will admit is quite unique and fun to mess around with. Play with friends for max experience.

Do you like being forced to kill seemingly endless amounts of boring and tedious enemies? Do you like having your screen covered up by zombie vomit while the aforementioned event occurs? Then this DLC is for you. When you kill one zombie, 2 replace it until they swarm and inevitably kill you. I was rushing to finish this DLC just due to how tedious and annoying it was. Unless you're in it for weapons, ya might wanna not play this.
