- Video: the fantastic ASCII art gives you enough to spark your imagination and appreciate what your imagination couldn't allow on its own. Particle effects are leveraged to provide feedback and allow you to feel what you do, not just read it.

- Audio: What music is present is great and subtle enough to not get tiring. Sound effects provide satisfying feedback.

- Gameplay: Turn-based combat and full transparency of enemy stats and abilities makes combat thoughtful and enjoyable to learn. More importantly, the intricate web that you can weave between chosen race, class, deity, attributes, equipment, abilities, and (ultimately) prestige class makes the game an absolute joy to play; the character fantasy is the gameplay, and it is rich.

I had to uninstall it because I'm a full-time college student and have spent 25-40% of my waking hours since I bought it either playing it, modding it, or reading about it
