Matchmaking: You can only play 4v4 CTF/Modes other than Infection. What. the hell.

Controls: unresponsive, hold e for 2-3 seconds to Interact (such as entering vehicles, using turrets, using Armor Lock) super slow and clunky movement/controls. Constantly killing eachother simultaneously due to poor netcode. You literally cannot crouch and move simultaneously.

Sound: super garbage, voiceover guy sucks. No treble, superclocked bass on all rendered sound, making everything sound muffled. additionally, 100% sound is super quiet.

Voice: does not work and you can't change the binding on it (in 2019) stuck on "V"

Settings: are clearly ported to Xbox. There's about 5 things you can change in the settings between Texture Quality, Field of View, and an FPS that's capped at 60.

Progression: Eliminated the credit-based system to unlock armor. Now... 2 hours in still not sure how you unlock armor. It's just locked.

Shooting your gun is unresponsive when there are objects next to you.
Like left clicking will not fire your gun even with enemies in the crosshairs.
Same goes for attaching a tether- sometimes requires an additional click that you hope doesnt pull you into something accidentally.
Incredibly annoying.

Missions are less about blowing stuff up as they are now hacking/escorting.

Flying around is still a blast but Just Cause 3 had the perfect formula that did not need much fundamental changing imo.


Weather was a good idea, and the balloons were a good idea but very clunky to use for the reason previously stated.
The unlimited usage of equipment is great, and the underbarrel grenade launchers are great additions.
Both add to the identity of the game: blowing stuff up

Though I'd recommend JC3 over JC4 any day of the week.

Was good on release before all the new players died down.
Release month with 60,000 daily players was a blast. Everyone was still figuring everything out.

Now there's a PEAK of 2,000 daily players who all have 2000 hours in the game.
Any new player will be absolutely obliterated by the amount of cheesy bs, you will never be able to match.

This is one of those games that WAS good, and their time has passed. The ship has sailed.
Not worth buying anymore.


Oh yeah and a many ppl have had controversial bans because they made the devs mad during their time of the month.
I killed the lead dev 1v1 repeatedly, spammed tbag and "?" in chat, and got perma banned within 30 min of him joining the 64-player server.
