Ender Lilies is an excellent metroidvania with an engrossing dark fantasy setting. The combat and movement start off feeling a bit stilted but becomes increasingly dynamic as your player character's power increases. The boss battles feel epic in scope and lean into having punishing but clearly telegraphed attacks, which are my kind of favorite bosses. Don't often mention this, but the map system is phenomenal, clearly marking if a room has any remaining items or paths not yet utilized. While this may make exploration feel less organic, I enjoyed the sense of direction and ease of completion. Definitely don't miss this one.

This is the game Super Mario Sunshine wanted to be and for which the world was not yet ready. Solid graphics and ambient noise, controls well and provides a soothing powerwashing experience. Perfect for calming down after a day of work or some intense PvP games.

A fantastic love letter to the 2D platformers of the 90s. This game is a splendid mix of the Donkey Kong Country series and Rayman Legends, taking the best parts from each and giving it a fresh coat of polish. Graphics and music are great as well. A slight disclaimer is that the game is fairly short and one could probably finish it in around 3 or 4 hour, but the abundance of things to collect kept me engaged and wanting to complete it. Would love to see where the developers go next, they are definitely on my radar.

Cyber Shadow nails the NES aesthetic and atmosphere with a combination of beautiful pixel art and amazing soundtrack. It also nails NES level difficulty in platforming and knockback, though mitigated by a lack of a life system and frequent checkpoints. The controls do take a bit of time to get used to (especially the parry mechanic), but once it clicked for me, the game was a complete blast.

This game combines memories for early 3D platformers with a wonderfully spooky Halloween atmosphere to create one of the most fun gaming experiences I've had in the past year or so. The controls are great, the writing is solid and witty and it captures the essence of PS1/N64 games so well. The game is on the shorter side (I 100%ed it in around 6.5 hours) but what is there is polished to a shine. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic 2D action. If you liked the first, you'll adore the second. Great gameplay, great music.

Fantastic expansion to an already amazing game. Beautiful music, well designed bosses (that manage to fluidly switch genres) and an all around great experience. You need to play this game and its DLC.

Great soundtrack, great combat, great art direction. I don't really care for rogue-likes but I love this game.

One of the best looking games I have ever played and one of the best Metroidvanias. A steal at 10$.
