It's a compelling and charming survival game.
The interface is complex and you have to experiment with the simulation to figure out what actually is going to work. There is some hidden depth there after some trial and error with things like how commute times can mean a duplicant does not have enough time to eat that are not really that obvious until you think about it. Objects themselves can have complex detail - like doors with different attributes and accesses, storage bins that need to have a filter set before they are used, etc. Like all games that rely on trial and error sometimes it can feel a bit unfair.
Lots to figure out, lots to do. One of those games that you can create a lot of open loops for yourself, so sometimes find that you will "just do that one more thing" before you stop playing.

I've not had this much fun playing computer solitaire for a long time.

The art is lovely and the equipment and powers make this an interesting diversion.

I think if this were on mobile or tablet I'd be giving it more time than I have managed to on PC.

Recommended if you are looking for a solitaire card game with substance.

This documentary is honest, well produced and informative.

I would say if anyone you know is thinking about going all in on indie development, show them this.

This game tells an interactive linear story about a teenage girl falling in love with a guy on the internet via making friends with him via a multiplayer game. So you might as well think of this as a book with elective character flavour in the appendix. Keep that and it's short playtime in mind with whatever price point the game is currently at.

As a story it reminded me of a few things in my own life from relationships made, some that have been strengthened and others that have lost over the years. It was interesting seeing this lived out in such an intimate honest way from a female perspective.

That game is basically a facade for the kind of grind you get in League, WoW etc where you are basically just filling up meters together and repeating... so it's a narrative instrument boiling down that teamwork to that then, you know being an actual game you would have to pour hundreds of hours in to before you got that same feeling.

Going through the desktop did feel prying and uncomfortable to me, but was an interesting way to explore the characters of the story.

The only other interactive narrative game I have played recently is "To The Moon" - I'd suggest picking that up first if there's price parity and you feel like you want to try this genre and like pixel art.

If you're a dad and have a teenage girl in to games perhaps this might give some insight and be a conversation starter about the topics of love and sex this brings up? Ha! As my daughter is only 2 you can take that idea with a pinch of salt - I have no idea.

It's an interesting enough step off the mainstream gaming path for me to recommend it at a price you're happy to pay for about 90mins or so of your time.

The game is a very charming and unique take on a stealth game. It is a game of not only sneaking, but distraction. Pattern recognition will not help, guard patterns are not often predictable.

I have put about 5 hours in to this so far and unlocked 2 other characters. Each character completes a level using a different distraction trick.

I brought this game full price when it came out, but for the current price of $9.99 it is pretty much a no brainer.

One thing - if you are on a Macbook you are going to need a mouse with a right mouse button to play. The right mouse button is used to throw gadgets.

(Disclosure, I worked with at least one of the developers who worked on this game back at Lionhead Studios a while ago. So there's some AAA experience in here... but they've gone indy :) )

Hard as nails retro styled game with perma-death for your crew and one shot at each procedually generated adventure.
This is the kind of game that teaches you that it is okay to lose, and lose terribly. But that makes winning all the more sweet!
Interface is a little clunky and on the mac right clicking on the touchpad is a pain.
Story events should indicate risk more - there can be dire consequences to "doing the right thing" - real risk to your crew and ultimately your mission.
Should you buy it is probably best to buy from their site and get the key rather than direct from Steam so you get a DRM free copy as well as the Steam key.
