Notes: Ultrakill has a broad appeal, from gamers who want a break from COD and want something new, to gamers who were there in the hayday of Quake or Devil May Cry. The game can be played simply like a COD campaign, but at the players pace they can get better with the help of the rank system to show them how to play better or with more style to have more fun.

Notes: The graphics look simple but they work with the art style well. New Blood isnt known for making really fidelity oriented graphics but it would be nice for a game with this art style to have a bit more design. Dont get me wrong, I love the way Act 2 is designed and it is a massive improvement over the design of Act 1, but there could be a lot more to make the game feel as grandiose as it feels. Granted, the gameplay takes most of the attention but I'm just saying some more eye candy would be nice to really establish the setting of being in hell.

Notes: The game has incredible value, I've played this game for almost 100 hours and am sure that it will double with Act 3's release. I don't know if better support for modding is in the future, but if it is this game would be all the more worth it. I strongly recommenced buying the New blood Trilogy bundle which is an incredible value for 3 games that are all must own games in your library if you love FPS games (especially in the retro genre.) Early access games are rarely worth their value but this game is a rare and great exception.

Notes: Game runs really well due to the low graphical fidelity, I ran this on a netbook from 2016 with some adjustments to settings that were descriptively labeled and easy to set. If youre a casual gamer on low end hardware this game is all the more worth a purchase,

Notes: This game is pretty easy, you can beat the first act with the starter pistol with enough time and really building up skill helps you complete levels faster. It would be nice if the game was more naturally difficult as most enemies feel like their just HP or Damage Buff but there are weaknesses in enemies and style will greatly improve your combat efficiency. Overall I would say a great difficulty set.

Notes: The game-play is great, mechanics are fun and fast-paced with an emphasis on style and these elaborate chain reactions that really make you feel like a killing machine. A great improvement on the boomer shoooters with the style meter and the best movement in a shooter game I've ever played. Not much else can be said other then conclusively this has some of the best gameplay design I've ever seen.

Notes: The grind is good, but does require searching up guides and a lot of restarts to really get the best ranks. However, the grind is fun, even if you are a one and done guy, I would still say this games replayability is great enough to justify it.

Notes: This game takes inspiration from the divine comedy (Dante's Inferno) and the writing around the world and 3 of the "prime" bosses (Minos, Sissyphus, and Gabriel) are some of the best writing of mythology and religious characters I've ever seen. That being said, to find the worldbuilding and deeper lore requires grind, and a lot of it to where most players will look past it. I wish that there was more writing passively in the casual gameplay, and there are elements of the game that are unexplained and seem disconnected such as the prevalence of robots, why there are angels in hell, who the counselors are, what heaven is, but the plot tells enough to get away with great world building and some of the best voice acting in a video game, even if you have to work for it.

Notes:This is easily in my top games of all time list, and with the work that gets put into it im sure its only going to get better. There is some work that is needed, specifically in design, (stylizing the game a bit more) Plot (making the rest of the game has much story impact as the prime bosses) and with modding support and the final act this would easily go up a point to 9.5/10 or even a perfect score (A P-rank, you could say.)

Notes: I cant stress how great this game is. Ive spent more time playing this game then almost any other singleplayer game ive played in the past 2 years. While many games rely on multiplayer for replayability this game does it naturally and offers a fun twist on old mechanics for a new and great game with good story and a great gameplay experience.Absolutely buy this.
