This is a pretty good game with a lot of potential. I've only been playing since the Badwater update so I don't know any different but I think without it the game would be way too easy. Even with badwater it's simple enough to work with. My only complaint is the game is currently a bit shallow. Your worst enemy is yourself. If you let your population grow out of control you're going to have a bad time during droughts and badtides. Once you stabilize it's really easy to just cruise. I've put hundreds of hours into Dwarf Fortress so I don't need any 'You Win!' title card but I do need something that constantly pushes me to optimize, grow, and expand. Once you put contamination barriers around your crops and forests there's really no surprises you have to worry about. No invading force or chaotic beavers you have to deal with. At that point you just have to make your own fun, which is fine if that's your thing. I just wish I didn't have to load up a new/different map to bump up the challenge. I'd still recommend it as it's still in development and I look forward to further additions to the game.

This is the most intricate colony simulator you can get your hands on. I've played probably over 1000 hours on the original and this version makes the game a good deal more approachable. If you want to really sink your teeth into some intense learning curve and incredible worlds and stories this is the game for you.

This game is incredible. If you've ever wanted to build a redstone computer in Minecraft but didn't because it would be too slow or too limited, this is the game for you. There's currently no tutorial or objectives so the game doesn't hold your hand at all in terms of teaching you how to use the logic gates. I would recommend either Ben Eater's "Build your own 8-bit computer" series or the nand2tetris.org project if you want a course to follow along with and learn from.

The developers are very active in the community and very active in development. The game has been in early access for about 4 weeks and there have been 3 updates with new features, optimizations, and bug fixes.

FInally beat it after two years of owning the game!! just as good as the first one while keeping it fresh!

Hours of challenging gameplay, definitely worth 15 bucks. my only wish is that it had online multiplayer

this games is a classic.it has the perfect mix of action and puzzle. its a must play for all those who call themselves gamers... plus theres cake at the end ;D
