This game oozes personality, the gameplay is fun and quickly devolves into glorious chaos.
the writing for the bestiary is HILARIOUS.

Played the game since the early alpha/beta builds. Base game isn't that great since they took a lot of the cool things and lore out. play with mods, most definitely.

As someone who played the demo for this game a lot on the wild tangent launcher back in the days of windows xp, I was stoked to see it in steam. I definitely suggest getting this game if you like dungeon crawlers, good music, and lots and lots of fishing. [you should fish, you get good stuff]

Many reviews complain about this game not being exactly like the original.

The thing is, It wasnt meant to be exactly the same.

It's a fresh new take on a classic with some elements of the old game mixed in with new.
Many who complain just dont like change, or for some strange reason, imagined a full on remake.

Not a perfect game, but neither was the original.

But it is still definitely worth playing.

I've played this game for quite a few years now, and it's been a big part of my life in many ways. As an artist it's influenced my art style and the way I think about character design. I've made so many friends from this game and I've had countless laughs due to the various...goings-on that can happen in a server at any given time. Even though it's an older game in steam's library and the userbase isn't as huge as it used to be, the community is still quite fun and pretty darn unique.

I really just want to thank the team behind the game and it's comics/videos for their work. This game never fails to make me smile, and I hope it keeps going for years to come. [at least a few more years, hopefully]
