Early Access Review
Friday night knight fights are hella tight.
Smite blights until they're contrite.
Start out kinda ♥♥♥♥♥, but reach a greater height, and with new abilities and gear, possess quite the bite.
Show not fear nor fright, stand fast and meet your foes with might.

(It's a dope game try it out.)

Edit: Updates are steady, as well as hearty.
Dev is busy in the kitchen, and is very involved with community.
Development is developing well due to a most dedicated Developer.

Definitely one of the better "take a monster pic and off ya skit" games, I definitely did not pee a little from getting sneaked up on lol
I look forward to future content, especially in the items department. It would also be hella convenient if equipment such as the shoes, helmet, backpack, etc. were in their own slots, and usable gear had it's own slots to scroll through, or at the very least let us bind each slot to it's own key, so there aren't any issues with scrolling too far and pulling something else out instead of the camera. Minor gripes, tho, nothing that really takes away from the fun experience this game is with friends.
My brother and I had experienced the already-known
not-working-mic/blank white screen in results issues, but Discord and scrolling back to the pic on the screen were workarounds.

Excellent game, keep it up!

EDIT:
So with more game time, there are a couple more things I feel like need to be addressed;
not sure if the big aliens outside are invincible or just have a massive health pool, but they should die after a car hits them or Velociralien steps on them.. also a more varied moveset would be cool, instead of just throwing a rock.
Also, as far as building exploration goes, it's really fun and whatnot, with the aliens found being really cool and diverse, but it's such a shame that, outside, only a few different aliens are found. If some of the inside aliens were also able to spawn outside, that would make for a much more exciting experience.
Last gripe is the ambiance, I get it's suppose to immerse and set the mood, but when the building next to me is growling it kinda throws off the entirety of the tone lol

Fun game, but for the love of all that is holy, fix the damn local co-op and make it as it was in the demo.
This split-screen ♥♥♥♥ for local players is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ asinine.

Don't get me wrong, the game is fun, great, and all that jazz..
But, come on, local co-op is one of- if not the - biggest reasons this game is gonna be bought, I would think.

It's a thumbs up for me, and this review will reflect that soon as that ridonculous blunder has been rectified.

Early Access Review
Unfortunately, I happened to discover this title much too late, due to a friend introducing it to me, and the reason I am in grievance for this time-frame of finding it, is because of this game-killing stamina rework that one can only hope that the developer--
whom of which has been described repetitiously as not only being neglectful to constructive criticism, but also
offensively condescending towards the game's own player-base for providing their feedback on an early access game-- soon reverts or improves.

Early Access Review
My total playtime as of writing this review was played in one sitting.
Idk this ♥♥♥♥ is a different kind of fun.
Best survival/craft game I've played, thus far.
Same typical stuff, and yet, the way V Rising handles the tried-and-true formula of similar games within this genre is done noticeably well.
Figuring things out and happening upon different ways to complete your current task or self-appointed objective is gratifying and feels rewarding.
It's just a damn good time.
Plus;
you can shape-shift into a rat,
you can build a three-story (but sadly, no more.. yet) six-story** castle,
you can be pacifistic-ish and just make enemies kill each other off-
tons of stuff that contribute to keeping the game fresh and engaging.

If you're into these types of games, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not giving it a go.

**Returned to edit this as soon as I learned of this joyous fact.

Early Access Review
Despite bugs/issues that expectedly entail being in Early Access (of which have been mostly minor, save for a few game crashes), a truly unique and rewarding experience awaits those willing to take the time to learn the ins and outs of the mechanics and brave the mysteries of the dangerous deep dark.

After how abstruse everything seemed upon my (laughable) first attempt at playing, employing my typical "trial by fire" mentality, I found that while I did learn a little, I failed to understand the dire importance of proficiencies and management per class/task that were required.
Along with my underestimation of what were involved when dealing with said tasks (a handful of which, I soon realized, are not efficiently figured out via guess-work lol), I deemed that the tutorials would be my best bet, were I to progress in any significant capacity-- especially given the seemingly complex and aberrant methods required for the most basic of basics, let alone survival.

And those tutorials helped, more than I thought they would. They aren't super in-depth, but explained enough so, that my next go around was loads more productive, and due to clearing the hurdle of the 'intro-phase,' in addition to the information available contained in the multiple guides submitted by the dedicated community, I began to more efficiently utilize my AI crew's strengths and consolidate/focus tasks, which, for me, in this gem of a game, has proven to be both gratifying and enjoyable.
I am reminded of my still-growing appreciation of the thought and depth of just about every aspect that this title offers every time I delve into it's thrilling-- and often tense-- gameplay.
It also does not, subjectively speaking, lack in hilarity; having fallen into a, nearly uncontrollable, fit of laughter with a buddy, simply due to, when not our own ragdoll shenanigans, those of the AI, as they quite boldly showcase their capability to suddenly become oblivious of their surroundings and/or overly-clumsy, seemingly suffer dramatic loss of intelligence, develop erratic bouts of severe vertigo inhibiting anything other than walking or standing upright, etc. and then-- at the drop of a dime-- become the most efficient and preferred mvp that you literally just witnessed seconds ago hanging upside down from a hatch, panicking, flailing around and inadvertently attacking another crew member attempting to leave the room, and shrieking nonsense, all whilst losing a one-sided free-for-all with said (confused) crewmate and the ladder, of which clearly had the upper-hand for the majority of the situation.
Moments like these, especially with others around to bear witness, increase the games appeal significantly, personally speaking.

Playing and learning with friends is definitely recommended, as that is where most of the fun lies, in my opinion, although, at the time of this review, Campaign is the only mode I've played, thus far.

Definitely looking forward to everything the very active and feedback-responsive devs have planned, and I definitely would and will recommend, so long as you possess a modicum of patience and aren't one to shy away from a bit of a learning curve.

This game definitely raised the bar o' far as my trauma is concerned.

I guess not playing for over four years forced them to drop the banhammer on my account lol

Get your ♥♥♥♥ together, devs.
