Haven't beat the game yet, but it's a positive, friendly vibe. Colorful, cheerful, strange, and exactly what I wanted in these times. Different abilities to suit your playstyle, though a horizontal-only swap felt limiting at first.

Four roles, 60 operators (15 of each), PVE-only, PVP-only, PvEvP modes. Decent shooting but not as tight as Destiny or COD. Decent queues, lots of unique playstyles supported with mix-and-match perks as you level operators. Seems fairly generous with currency to unlock operators, with daily/weekly/storyline-style quests/rewards. You will play with Russians!

If you liked Portal, you'll probably like this too.

Mostly a story-based walking simulator; you'll spend 80% of your time travelling between screens and interacting with a cast of strange but likable characters as you try to dig your team out of the shadow of past mistakes, which slowly come to light as you fight your way up the robot-punching ladder. It's got a Cowboy Bebop style, lots of playful tropes and great writing. Plus, turn-based robot battles!
Edit: Came for the robot punching, left with the feels. The ending was good!

Actually had to (re)learn some programming for this, and the repetition and incentive to try new ways to speed up and automate the many steps is a great way to practice. There's a pretty active Reddit and lots of links, so if you want to dabble in programming JS this has been a good experience for basics.

Came here for relaxing lofi, got a rollercoaster of feels set to the metronome whacks of paddles. Loved it.

Cute game, especially if you love terrible puns. Decent combat and spells, well worth the price.

A callback to slower-paced turn-based games like Fallout and Wasteland, with decent writing and some interesting plots. Travel time is incredibly slow for as many fed-ex quests as there are, and the route to get a car or complete many quests aren't super clear, which can be part of the fun if you don't mind that sort of thing.

Fun indie first-person puzzle game in the spirit of Portal or Talos Principle, crossed with something cartoony like Slime Rancher or Astroneer. A few puzzles aren't really clear, but there's a lot of fun mechanics. The author is super responsive and runs a discord channel as well for those of us that get stuck on puzzles a lot :) Lots of completionist options with story-based upgrades along the way that make quality-of-life better (fast travel, fast running, etc).

Plot-based tower defense game. Multiple levels of difficulty (play through just for story, or repeat for perfection!). Pretty decent writing of the characters, interesting plot, some fun mechanics in the fights. Beat it in about six hours, but worth the price. 8/10, would recommend for a short gaming spree.
