This game is an addictive nightmare that will consume your life.

Game was bought out by a company that just wants to hold the license and do nothing with it, milking the dwindling community with monthly rereleases of old lootbox content from years ago.

It's enjoyable for a little while but the lack of new content and the game essentially being on life support makes it hard for me to genuinely recommend it to a new player.

My friend bought me this game and he's basically become patient zero, every person ive told about this game has picked it up and enjoyed it. Incredible value for the money they ask if you're a fan or pokemon and want something new this is a really great experience

This is probably my favorite game of all time. I've played MMORPG's since around 2006, mostly jumping from F2P game to F2P game. I had never played a subscription based MMO like FFXIV before trying it mostly out of fear of the money being worth it.

I very quickly learned that it was worth it, oftentimes i'd drop 60 dollars on a game that i'd play for 2 hours while final fantasy has given me over 4000 hours of enjoyment and there's always stuff to do.

It doesn't feel like a chore logging in, the game rewards you for time invested and doesn't make you feel like your progress is gonna disappear because of a patch or a dev deciding they wanted to nerf/rework something.

All the jobs/classes are extremely well balanced, none of them really feel like a standout of "play this or you can't play the game". It's just like... satisfying? The dev team genuinely cares about its community and feedback and I think because of that it's created a really great game that people will talk about until the end of time.

If you're hesitating to try it because of the sub fee and are a huge MMORPG fan I can't recommend it enough give it a chance I know the sub fee may seem irritating but think about the example I gave earlier, how many times have you spent money on other games and got no enjoyment out of it? I promise you will find something you'll enjoy if you give this game a shot :)

There we're a lot of issues at launch, some of which did sour my overall experience with the game but most of if not all the glaring issues have been fixed. If you love naruto and wanna just mess around in pvp with a custom character this is the game for you. Do not go into it if you're looking for a single player story experience the missions are repetitive and get boring very quickly

It's really relaxing to sit back and watch your mountain when you don't really have any motivation to do anything
