This is a weird one to write, the game has some redeeming qualities but overall I really struggled to finish it and the frustrations really outweigh the enjoyment I had with it.

For a start the OST, sound design in general, and visuals (though sometimes a little basic) in the game are phenomenal. The overall plot and lore are interestingly unique too!

However, the writing of the characters and their dialogue is a complete cheese fest and I found myself trying to turn it off all together. this is perfectly matched with equally disappointing voice acting from the main character.

They really had something going with the combat, it feels fresh and original. The abilities are really smooth and compliment the sharp and slick combat that the game throws you into. They're so easy to use and all felt very natural, all with their own purpose and strengths... there's just not enough of it. You spend most of the game flying in straight line across an area of space, listening to a boring 5 minute conversation or a memory, absolutely melting the 6 enemies that appear in under 30 seconds, talking even more, waiting to have a direction to go in, then repeating this for almost an entire story. There are 3 decent battles in the whole game but the rest are so few and far between that I could hardly play for more than 45 minutes a session.

At most stages it felt like I wasn't even playing as that cycle of flying and talking took up over 80% of the time I spent playing and it had me shouting at my screen for something to do sometimes, and it's only made worse by how poor of quality the whole dialogue is. No matter how stunning the game looks flying through it from end to end 100 times just makes you resent it.

The OST could've been used to much better, it's mostly in the main menu even though it was one of the more memorable parts of the game. Flying through space, when not under the barrage of cheesy dialogue, is spent in silence and it was a real missed opportunity to have some of that talent come out!
