It's fun. I like blowing stuff up. I would like more maps and some regular deathmatch game-mode.

Early Access Review
Well, well, well Valheim. What can I say about you. You have made me possibly more mad than any other game, except for the MOBA's and shooters. But I cannot stop playing. After almost 200 hours I am starting to feel that I am done. For now. But I will come back. Oh, my experience? Fine...

I bought the game because several friends started playing it. I logged on and was instantly confused. I tried to figure out the game-mechanics but I just kept dying to these annoying weird creatures. After only a couple of hours I was like f"#k this and I left. But I knew even then that I would eventually come back. So I kept the game installed on my PC for... I don't know, a really long time. Then one day, I said to myself, now is the time to give it a second chance, and boy did it pay off.

I made my first weapons, killed every creature I could find, including those weird ones that I just instantly hated with a burning passion. It felt good to dominate them. That's actually when I started enjoying the game. It was a little annoying how everything instantly wanted to kill me though. I haven't done anything to them... yet. I made myself a basic home and some armor. Started making food which I did not at first understand was a huge part of the game. I was hooked at this point, even playing alone. There was so much to discover. I came to a new place and a crow told me to be careful of this place. I should've listened. A huge scary troll appeared. It took a while until I could take it down, but my god the relief I felt was insane. I made a boat... sorry, raft... and took to the seas. The music, the atmosphere, the danger, everything was really thrilling.

By now, I got the game. I knew it was time to make a proper home. Unfortunately I did not realize the importance of finding a good location, so even at this moment I have one poorly placed major base and one medium sized outpost, connected by teleports. You cannot bring ore or metal (the really important s#"t) in the portal so I made myself a bigger ship and a cart to transport these materials. The whole thing felt good, but it was starting to feel a little bit like work. Everything was a chore. This could perhaps be explained by the fact I was playing alone.

At this point I have explored every biome. Mods made the came less of a chore. There are some things still I have yet to discover, but right now the game is seeming repetative. I am not complaining. 200 hours is alot of "entertainment" for a low price, and worth every krona. What I am not writing though is the times I sailed far, far away only to die and have no way of going back. At this times I started using backup saves (there is one for the world and one for your character), but a truly balanced game shouldn't require this, I feel. Watching youtube and reading reddit was a great source for information, but again, does it have to be this way? I really like to figure things out for myself, but this game just did not allow it without having me turn over every stone and trying to interact every item with another thing just to progress. Not great IMHO.

Also, I really hate finishing really hard quests only to be rewarded with cosmetic items that I cannot use because if I take of my heavy armor the game will instantly kill me. What's the point hiildir? I don't want to wear your red dress if it means I will be defenseless. And the hostile creatures even raid your base from time to time. No thanks, I'll keep my gold (which I have an abundance of at this point because there is no "real" item to spend it on).

The game is definately worth playing and the devs deserve your actual money for all their hard work. The game is truly amazing because there's soooo much to do. However, be prepared to scream, swear and hit your pillow or whatever. It's completely unforgiving. Try taking on a boss without the proper preparation; resting buff wears out, you run out of arrows, a 1 star troll with an army chase you, taking no damage from the boss' AoE attacks (they really should). Anyways, the whole forest is chasing you, but you run out of stamina and there is a small rock in your way. Goodbye. Dead. Try getting your items back with a literal army guarding it. And try farming enough stuff to create new gear. What is this? Actual work? You get the feeling that the game is cheating you, so you too can play dirty. Install more mods and open up the console with devcommands. I mean, this is not how I want to play, but in some situations the game was forcing me to play dirty.

Anyways, great game 10/10.

Great game! 9/10 for sure.
If I were to point out any flaws it would be that it is quite repetative, and there are basically no incentive to "collect" relics and other stuff since, as far as I can tell, it doesn't give you any kind of reward. Even the tombs seem kinda pointless, but it doesn't really matter when the overall gameplay and story are so superb.

This is a really addictive city-simulator-game. The game follows the circle of life, complete with horrific diseases and accidental deaths. It bottles down to watching numbers, basically, like "Oh no, people are dying of X, let's build some Y. Oh wait, I need people to run the Y, let's build some houses to increase population. Oh wait, now I need even more X, let's build some Z. Great, now a plague is wiping out half my population which have literally taken hours to breed."

The game is all about momentum. Your population will increase exponentially, meaning it's VERY slow at first, but if you get your civilization going you can finally play the game, which is to expand your civilization even more and run in to the same problems all over again.

I don't know why, but I can't stop playing. I can't even stop talking about it.
The game seemingly has no end. ♥♥♥♥.

This game is SO MUCH FUN!!

One could consider Just Cause 3 to be repetative, and it is. The goal is to liberate and capture points on a REALLY big map.
The points vary, some are just cities and others are strategic military points that grants you unlocks upon capture. There are so many points to capture, after 80 something hours I'm still not done. I've been goofing off alot though, which brings me to my ultimate point in why this game is so satisfying. When you get bored of capturing points there is a big whole, really detailed, world to explore.

I started getting really bored at the game, and actually stopped playing for a week. After a while I decided I wanna atleast finish the story, and boy did it feel tedious. Upon advancing the story however I got new tech upgrades which made the game WAY more fun.

The best feeling is taking a jet, driving over the whole island and blast EVERYTHING that looks like an enemy point. If you accidentally blow up your own base it's fine, it's just "collateral damage." The game has HILARIOUS bugs aswell. It feels like the most chaotic and insane party you've ever been too, and you're hosting it.

After alot of hours grinding and finishing the main story "A new home" I wanted to keep going!
I don't understand, is the game over? My city was just about to thrive after surviving the storm.

You should make the game way longer, maybe the ice will melt and you can keep exploring or whatever?

Very addictive game, but it suddenly ends and now you just have extremely hard scenarios left...

Welcome back Sonic! This game is truly amazing!
I feel like I'm 10 years old learning to curse for the first time because I need an outlet for my frustration given by this game.

And Tails, you are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying when you constantly bump into stuff and are jumping around like crazy.
Don't ever change!

I hate this game!

Oh, it's really, really fun! It's just hard as ♥♥♥♥.

This type of game really takes me back to my childhood when you used to grind levels until you could master them.
I have only beaten one boss so far, impact man, and boy did I celebrate! Few games make you truly happy when you win. Even if it's just a small victory as I said it was my first boss, not my first stage...

The controls, atleast with my xbox 360 for windows, are a little stiff and can get you killed but when you get used to it you will adjust and somehow it's working better now.

Suggested improvements:
Fix the GOT DAMN SHOP! Are you sure? Yes I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SURE!

Bring back the jump-scroll when entering bosses or semi-bosses. (true megaman fans will know)

That is all, I think...

Instead of adding DLC's that all have "mostly negative" on overall user reviews maybe they should focus on fixing the diplomacy and other stuff. I still like it though.
