As I write this, it's 6:30 in the morning and I just finished my first full playthrough on Imago difficulty.

I didn't think I could do it. This game hates you, and I dove in fully aware of this fact. It took hours of careful planning in-between play sessions. It made me work for it. It made me sweat. It made me doubt myself multiple times. But I did it. And what a visceral sense of satisfaction to have made it.

I do not play hard games. But Pathologic 2 has done something to my brain. It's doing things other games don't even dare to try. It is worth your attention and I can't recommend it highly enough.

A beautiful narrative experience which uses the setting, characters, and mechanics of the Pathologic you know to tell a short story about death, time, desperation, and the stubborn refusal of one prickly prick to go gentle into that good night.
