Don't mind my play time, this is where my second account is located. I have many, many more hours on my main account through the official client.

This game is brilliant. Do yourself a favor and at least play 1-80 for free. It's a great time. If you manage to catch a sale, the $7.49 bundle for the first and second expansion (Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire) is an insane value and I highly recommend that.

I played for maybe 3 hours prior to the 1896 update, so I don't have a biased/skewed opinion based on prior experiences like some of the other reviewers here. This game is worth playing. Sure, the UI could use some work, but it's absolutely not some unusable or the worst UI I've ever seen. I know there are issues with trading kills/desync that some users experience, but I genuinely think I've only traded kills like twice since playing, and I really don't think traded kills are THAT big of a deal in shooters anyway. The logic of "the bullet is already in the air" is sound. I understand the frustration if you're a solo, but I play with friends and I think that's the best way for the game to be enjoyed, personally.

I also haven't had my game crash a single time (I did have some friends who had issues with crashes when they opened their map, but this was shortly after the update and has since been fixed), so I can't weigh in on that aspect of things, as I haven't experienced any lag or packet loss on my end either. From a technical standpoint, it's been totally fine on my end.

At the end of the day, if you have some friends to play with and you're looking for an extraction shooter that's fun and not quite as hard to get into as Tarkov, seriously consider giving this a try.

Genuinely can not, and will not ever, understand people who want to play what is essentially an extraction shooter as a PvE game. Where's the risk? The fun of extraction shooters comes from it being high risk, high reward. The same way y'all often say "Not every single player game needs a PvP or multiplayer mode", not every multiplayer PvP game needs a PvE/story mode. Quit being scared of PvP and enjoy it.

This game is so much more smooth than Dark and Darker and has a solid foundation. Excited to see where future updates take it.

Has its flaws, but it's a nice way to learn the rules and game of Magic. Just be careful with using your wildcards, as they're not as plentiful as one would maybe hope for them to be. 7/10.

If you like MMOs or Star Wars even a little bit, I recommend at least giving this game a shot. Free to play players can do a fair bit compared to some other MMOs out there, but think of it as an extended free trial. There's definitely enough content there, though, for you to try out as F2P to get a solid idea of if you want to continue playing and sub at that time or not. You can level to 60 as a F2P player, though there are some restrictions (mostly to combat things like gold sellers). There is also a third status called "preferred" which allows you access to all expansions as long as you sub for one month (to be clear, you keep the expansions even if you unsub), though this does still have a few restrictions compared to an active subscriber.

In terms of actual gameplay, though, the combat is your typical tab target MMO combat, but the mix between blasters and sabers is fun and the abilities are pretty cool as well. The environments are really detailed and diverse, and the graphics aren't bad at all for a 12+ year old game. There are 8 unique origin stories (think classes) to experience, all of which are voice acted, and the group content is pretty fun too both for PvE and PvP. Galactic Starfighter, which is the ship PvP mode, is rather outdated, but people do still play it. You'll likely get dominated if you do, though. I've tried it a few times, and it wasn't for me, but it does exist so I wanted to mention it. There's also player housing, which is always a nice thing to have in MMOs.

Even if you just play it for a weekend to get a feel of whether or not you think you'll like the game, I recommend doing so. It's a good time, and the community is quite helpful and welcoming, which seems to be hit or miss in MMOs these days.

Honestly, all I heard about this game going in was that it was going to be a "scam". The amount of depth in the pal system regarding turning them into like your own little worker minions alone is enough to show me that that's not the case. I mean, there's a pal named depresso who has a unique animation that makes them look sad while working. You can control how hard your pals work and if you overwork them, they can get sick with stress ulcers or eventually go insane. That sort of stuff doesn't exist in games that aren't trying to succeed, in my opinion. The game also has its own implementation of shinies, which is awesome for Pokemon fans.

The only bug we've encountered so far is that if you build things against a wall that require the interaction of pals, they tend to get stuck. Beyond that, game is great so far, and I recommend checking it out. Runs really well for me on max settings as well.
