I have the biggest love hate relationship with this game. I have been around the game since launch and been playing since 2016.
Surface level this game is phenomenal from a dinosaur fans perspective. You get to play as a wide variety of your favourite dinosaurs and those you may not have even heard of. Starting out as a small juvenile and having to hunt and hide to survive. The concept was amazing and was handled well for a time with updates pretty consistently.
Unfortunately that did not continue.
The game has been in "early access" for almost 10 years. The game had great ideas and layout. But terrible execution.
Was hesitant to write this review because this game does hold a special place in my heart. But reality is reality and the care isnt there. And then having 2 different versions of the game for new players to try and figure out why they arent playing the game they see online in videos is ridiculous and honestly a stupid decision. I understand there are people that play the Legacy branch still. But having it as the default for when new players join destroys any trust from them.

With that said, it is worth the money if you like dinos. Easily get moneys worth, great with friends. Just dont expect longevity. You cant defend a game in early access for 10 years.

But dinos are still fun.

Definitely recommend as a fun party game with friends. Also fun solo but a blast with a group
