One of my favorite indie games of 2019. A fun homage to early internet culture that manages to combine hilariously nostalgic surrealism with an unexpectedly touching narrative that's short enough so as to not overstay it's welcome and leave you wanting more.

I started playing the original Dark Souls quite a bit only a few weeks ago after not playing it for a while (I had played it for a few hours and got frustrated and quit due to my own ineptitude) and I got really into it. in my free time I was playing Dark Souls as my go-to game, I loved the mechanics, the lore, and just the general feel of the game. it was let down by its port a bit, yes, but with some tweaking I got it working. And GFWL, lots of hate for GFWL.

Then I started playing Dark souls 2.

Oh my, I love this game a lot. It improves on many aspects of the game, adds new features, and most importantly, it is a great port. The game looks fantastic, even if it doesn't have the touted lighting system that it was claimed to have in trailers, the world is stunningly beautiful for being so dark. Majula and Heids Tower in particular (so far, I have not actually beaten the game) are absolutely gorgeous.
The controls are just as tight as the original on a pad, and the game runs at a silky smooth 60FPS constantly with maxed out settings, even on my mid ranged system, I don't think I have ever had it drop. Definitely get it on PC over the consoles if you can run it.
However, there are some problems with it. The games keyboard and mouse controls are still not that great, and I would highly recommend you have a game pad to play this, because it was clearly designed with it in mind, though you can rebind the keys no to maybe suit it more to your liking. The games vistas and locations, though still fantastic, aren’t as intricate and tightly connected as in 1, and it feels more linear in a lot of areas, though still open world.
Even with that in mind, I would strongly recommend this game to anyone interested. It is a highly rewarding and very satisfying experience, and if you have never played a Souls game, this is definitely a good place to start.

I used to really dislike this game due to what I though were slow clunky controls, but I have been playing it a lot recently, and once you get used to the controls and learn how to play, this game is incredibly satisfying. The bosses are massive and epic, the combat has a lot of weight behind it and it feels so good when you finally manage to defeat a difficult enemy or find a new weapon with a new attack style.

It does take a lot of time to get used to, and 2 is on it's way to PC soon, but if you want to play a very enjoyable very difficult game now, yes, get this game.

Risk of Rain is an infuriating, frustrating and insanely difficult game, and it is absolutely fantstic. Get this game if you are at all interested in hyper-difficult 2D rogue-lite games.

Organ Trail is a very simple, but very entertaining game. The premise is that you are in a zombie apocalypse, and Washington DC is going to be destroyed by a nuclear weapon in a few hours, so you and a band of your friends head out for 'Safe Haven,' a land out west said to be free from the zombie infection. along the way, you battle zombies, ram aggressive bikers off the road in your station wagon, and try to keep your friends healthy and alive.
Just by looking at the title, it's easy to see that its a parody of the game "The Oregon Trail" from the 1970's. The gameplay is incredible simplistic, and the graphics are very minimalist, similar to that of an Atari 2600. That being said, it is great fun. The game has many randomly generated events, leading no playthorugh to be the same, and there is quite a bit of strategy involved as you try to ration out your resources and keep your entire party alive all the way to Safe Haven. I don’t really know what it is, maybe the simple graphics, the eerie music, or the thought of running out of some important material halfway to the next landmark, but this game is also very atmospheric, and you can start to get attached to your companions along the way. However, the game is not incredibly difficult on lower difficulties, though I have not tried out the higher ones yet, and sometimes the events can be a bit repetitive and tedious. On normal, even the jobs with a difficulty labeled "suicidal" are fairly easy to complete.

With all that said, I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who is interested. It’s a very enjoyable game with a lot of content, plenty of replayability and an eerie atmosphere around it, even though it is so simple.

Team Fortress 2 is probably the best Free 2 Play multiplayer game available, hell, probably one of the best multiplayer games available period. The game under no circumstance requires you to buy anything with money, and you can easily aquire every weaponm in the game without it. Every item is very well balanced, and all feel genuinly unique, and the characters in the game are hilarious. Vale has continued to provide constant support and free updates since 2007, and show no sign of slowing down. If you have not played Team Fortress 2 yet, what are you doing? You owe it to yourself to at least try it once, and if it is not your type of game, no harm, no fou, it's completely free.
