Because of the one sided fanboy community ive known for years this game i know how much hate i'm going get from this.

I played this game both on pc without steam and on ps4 so this gametime is half of what it should be.

I must sadly say that FF14 is one of the most overrated and outdated game ive ever played, in almost every kind of content and what is presented to the players.

First of all everyone knows at this point that ARR story is a long cringe soul dragging bullcrap so i'm not gonna even say anything about it. Others have really cool moments, especially in heavensward sometimes even i said WOOW!!!, but those good ones are ruined because of 9-14 year old looking shonen anime character design and %90 of all questline is being a indie game visual novel quality and dragging out for sooo long. I lost so many friends in MSQ phase because its soo long. its 2022 and there shoudlnt be ''brooo it becomes amazing after 500 hours'' . or '' just skip the story! so every single selfish fanboy prick can hate you for it'' , its in every aspect amazingly boring overall, these are not the facts of course only my opinion.

Gameplay is waaay too old, feels like a 2004 MMO, even WoW nowadays (which i hate wow with the bottom of my heart) has more fluid animations, and responsive gameplay. thanks to the terrible animations(minus reaper) , graphics and the game's engine design everything feels clunky and outdated. The GCD and OGCD mechanic design is slow, frustrating and
clunky. But i must say, Raids, both savage and ultimate mechanics and fight designs are masterfully crafted, and overall makes this game ''good'' by themselves, and that is, if you want to spend 1000 hours getting there. But even though they are fun and they were the reason i played so long, still its getting oversahdowed by the dumb rotations and clunky engine.

Music are sometimes amazing, sometimes terrible, especially if there is a male vocal, they use the same cringe D tier male voice in every expansion in some music i cant even hear it anymore (im looking at you ultima thule theme) . but overall the game deserves praise for all the amazing music they made over the years.

Let's come to the worst of the worse part, Community! I can hear everyone saying ''Wtf this game has the best community eveeeer'' . Yes, at first it seems like that. People greeting in dungeons, helping others , telling ''its ok no problem'' at first its like you entered a paradise. But from personal experience, in this game, %90 of the people wearing masks, that kind and friendly masks to hide everything toxic and awkward inside them. That drops over the time you know them. And ive never met anyone without stupid insecurities and mentally unstable acts. Just go to Limsa, its like going into the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. People are not normal, they need help, literally. Most of them let the game consume %100 of their lives afking in same place talking/hitting on people. Some of them are depressed in /busy and thinking suicide and looking every opportunity to create dramas. Some of them are too commited to catgirl RP and ERPing that slowly disorients from the real life... list goes on and on... Overall community is full of people who doesnt know how to disagree on opinions, which is annoying.
