TL;DR: It's okay.

Alright, I've spent far too much time on this game. Been playing it since the PC D2 beta, and vanilla, through the ups and downs. I am primarily a pvp player, and I can say this game isn't for everyone. The launch on steam has been extremely rough, but that doesn't change how the game is played or the quality. For a game that originated on console, it is fairly well optimized and has many features that are essential for PC gaming.

The raids are fun for the first run or two, and then they are just a grind for god rolls on gear. A lot of the year 2 content is just event grinds for weapons or armor. I don't know if The first 3 campaigns (Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind) are even available to play other than heroic story missions on the vanguard menu. Forsaken was probably the best starting point for the game.

PvP is a mixed bag. The balance changes for shadowkeep were needed but might not have been the best for the PC version. Supers are incredibly strong and often decide the outcome of matches, while special weapons dominate the kill feed.

Play this game if you are interested, and if it doesn't fit your fancy, play something else. I said before, this game isn't for everyone. I've put in around 1600-2000 hours on this game on bnet. I'm glad it came to steam and I am pretty sure it will remain in the top 100 most played games.

Edit: If you really want to get into the game indepth it is highly recommended to watch some videos online on what to do, because the game doesn't give you a lot of things to go off of. Also the pvp meta is very very stale right now.
