So far so good. The demo does hearld a proper gothic remake. The exploration, dialogues, music and combat all feel right. Unfortunatelly it doesn't showcase the day to day life within camps themselves, which is the soul of the series, and it's still uncertain whether the devs can get it right.

Movement feels odd at first, but I'm sure it's something to get use to after the first hour of gameplay or so. Combat feels both heavy and arcadish, as it should. Some actions definitely take too long though. Things like initiating a dialogue or interacting with UIs should be instant. There were some visual gliches here and there, mostly regarding movement animations and motion blur; still much left to polish.

The voiceover work gave me that swampweed grin, it's pretty great.

Artistically the game looks satisfying as well, it attempts to blend the next gen visuals with classic gothic style, and I think it succeeds at that. It's very heavy on the machine though, with settings seemingly hard to balance - resolution quality of anything below 80% is unplayable blur, but it's also very heavy on the PC to keep it on optimal levels.
