OG Mafia is superior to the Definitive Edition remake.

The original game is a janky, beautiful, challenging masterpiece with missions comprised of memorable, engaging setpieces that you are left to your own devices to explore. You're usually fighting for your life against a small handful of deadly foes. A lot of these levels feel like an emergent sandbox where you truly have numerous options. In the remake the levels are reduced to a generic extremely linear cover shooter where you're blasting literally hundreds of dudes often with scripted bombastic explosions. Many sequences were converted into cutscenes. Now instead of being a clumsy everyman with an evasive roll that feels like an act of desperation you play as a super soldier that can instantly zoop all over the place between cover and land a hundred headshots. Sure the remake looks better and is more detailed but these improvements are very superficial. It feels more like a distant interpretation of the original game akin to viewing in a museum setting. Play the original for a special, unique, definitive experience of Mafia. Sure its jankier and harder, but there is so much beauty within that friction.

This game is horribly optimized and can't even play splitscreen on lowest settings and 480p on my GTX670 MX laptop. On my GTX 970 PC the game still runs astonishingly poorly. The local multiplayer is the main reason I got this game and its simply unplayable in its current state.

Urban Legends - this game may end up becoming an urban legend as being such a horrible game, and not just for being a horrible shovelware, PS1 textures, broke-ass, stupid, zero-AI, exploitable, non-sense, poorly designed, confusing, lazy, piece of ♥♥♥♥, probably racist, can't look at notes because the game has no light and PUTS AWAY YOUR LIGHT WHEN YO*U BRING OUT YOUR NOTES, THE BAD GUY GETS STUCK SO EASILY THERE'S NO SENSE OF DANGER WHATSOEVER, that would all be excusable. But the fact that this all costs $18 CDN is what is most astonishing. Please do not purchase this game.

Its okay. Has good environmental design and some impressive textures, but lacks some polish and the puzzle difficulty often only comes from it being obtuse. Its probably worth checking out if its on sale for a couple dollars.

Like Full Auto, but better. Currently you can get this as part of the HUMBLE BUNDLE for like $3.50 along with a bunch of other games. BUY IT

Good-looking game with cool interaction mechanics. The puzzles are designed as intricate, fantastical safes and were created with a good sense of imagination. However, the puzzles are too simple to feel particularly satisfying.

Very cool logic puzzle game. It taps into ways of thinking you wouldn't expect considering how simple the game appears. If only it was longer. And a bit more challenging. But its very cheap, so if you want more challenge, buy Hexcells Plus.

Buy it for local multiplayer. Also, get it on sale because this game really has no right to cost $15.
