Early Access Review
In its current state I can't recommend this game. The weapons feel ok to use, but after a run or two you have seen all of them and there really aren't any interesting builds you can create. Whenever you get an upgrade it just feels like meh. This game really needs to think about how they want to their powerups because currently it gets boring real fast. You never really get to a crazy dopamine inducing build, it's all just very safe and boring. So in its current state it's a polished, but bland game, hopefully they will fix that in the future, but I think that it will take more than just adding more content, something fundamental will need to change.

Got a lot of potential, but in its current state it seems to be balanced around using an autoclicker. The gear system is very basic and not much to be excited about. If you enjoy games balanced around autoclickers then I guess you could probably have some fun in this game for a couple of hours.

When I first bought this game I had big hopes for it to be great and that it would have stunning graphics. And I sure hope I would have read any reviews before purchasing it... Because what I was stuck with was a extremely poorly optimized game which ran in 720p with no graphics options whatsoever. However, there was still hope for me, within just A DAY the work of ONE man was enough to give me what I craved for. Full HD resolution... Something that should be the absolutely minimum to be supported. Then when I today saw that Square Enix had released an update I got quite excited, so I rushed to the news feed to see what they had updated and this is what I saw...

"Hello,

The FINAL FANTASY XIII team have been working hard to improve your experience on Steam and we're happy to announce the following changes will be rolled out.

■ All versions
A request-to-confirm notification, will now appear when you try to quit from the full-screen mode. "

Is it not enough that they have yet to be able to do what a single man was able to do within a fraction of the time they had to develop this game, but then they go out and post that they have been working HARD! This makes me rather upset, I would never in my life recommend this game to anyone and it's a shame, it's most likely a pretty decent game which have rather stunning graphics when you are able to play it in 60fps 1080p... However, I can't recommend a game where it takes the developers over a month to put out a fix for something as mundane as the fact that the ESC-button simply shuts down the whole game. A fix like that shouldn't just take less than a day to fix, it shouldn't even have been there from the start.

Square Enix have made great games and I really mean great games. With stunning visuals and great storytelling, however, if this is how they wish for their PC-versions to be, then I'm sad to say that I no more will buy a game from them. At least not until they prove that they have learnt their leason.
