A solid release of a Lynx classic, and a good addition to the library of any aficionado of old-school racing games.

It's not a bad game per se, it's just not what the OG Saints Row fans were expecting.

Let me explain: if you would've called it "Something something: A Saints Row Story", and made it as a spin-off like it is, then it would've been a fantastic ride. Storywise it would blend in well with the script, and even tho it differs from the grittiness of the original Saints Row trio, it still falls under the "mayhem, violence and crude humour" that the series was well known.

Alas, an attempt to start a fresh slate and completely remove OG characters and some key points, was one of the final nails in the coffin for Volition.

- A fun experience overall: trust me - remove the name "Saints Row" from your mind while playing the game, and I promise it won't be hard to play. The overall story, while far from perfect, is still a chance to laugh a bit and shoot some people.
- Ability to envision own empire: you basically unlock the possibility of taking over the map with different businesses, and take over the territory against other enemies while doing so. A good side project while in between missions.
- Humorous dialogue (in its own way): there are some catchy lines and cool moments here and there, and the group's dialogue is usually funny overall.
- Events and mission diversity: my main pro, the game offers a lot of events and different side quests, each with its own challenge or action to take. Add that to the collectibles you can find and there isn't a shortage of content.
- Meh storyline: it's your typical "zero to hero" story with some twists and turns but it doesn't reshape the wheel in any way. While some key moments are good addtions (especially at the start of the story), the recipe overall is just... okay?
- Characters: I wouldn't say they are bad, at all, I just don't think they're over the top special. Good voice acting and giving the characters some personality? Proper well done. Will they be remembered and cherished like Johnny Gat, Shaundi, or Pierce? Don't think so.
- Gunplay: my main con overall is gunplay. All enemies are bullet sponges, and not in a "making the game harder" kind of way. It just makes you feel exactly the same whether you're firing an automatic Glock or an AK rifle.
- Car list: Saints Row was never exactly known for its major car list, but there are maybe 2-3 supercars? A couple of muscles, and the are rest... are just the rest. There's no real vehicle that you connect with or feel that is a part of your character/gang.
- Limited customization: Saints Row 3 lead the way with weapon and car customization, and the reboot is a downgrade in every sense. What once led to having different ways to grind weapons and choose the better loadout, now is transformed in a mix of nothingness.

Overall, not a bad game in itself - but it isn't Saints Row.
If it's on your radar and wish to grab it while at a good discount - I'd go for it.

An easily-enjoyable shooter, with straight forward mechanics and gunplay - the Wild West touch is what really brings the game to life and makes it stand out.
Overall - and considering it's pricing during sales - it's a solid choice if you're looking for a different FPS to kill some time.

11/10 feels like exactly how I feel walking out of the bar at a Friday night

It's a solid entry in the Far Cry franchise, even though in many aspects it's an almost carbon-copy from Far Cry 3. Noteworthy aspects are the locations and map, which features different scenery and beautiful vistas, complete with different fauna and flora, and multiple ways to explore the world. The gunplay is fun enough and the missions and activities are different enough to never be bored.

However, the main key negative aspect for me is the amount of repetitive tasks there is just to progress the story - liberating towers and outposts, collecting different pelts the same random encounter happening in a short period of time.

Getting past that, it's a solid entry with a great story, and one of the most memorable villains in the saga.

Hands-down IGN Best Game of 2034, amazing graphics and gameplay!

It's a good formula that keeps the playerbase engaged over the years - fun and fast gunplay, nostalgic and new map variety, good Gunsmith formula and great characters.
Unfortunately, it has been suffering from too much "copy+paste" over the last few years, and is slowly losing some of the key features that made it stand out.

Overall, you'll have a good experience if you can get past the microtransactions and the sweats.

Edit 11/24: BO6 is amazing.

A fantastic shooter with an amazing gameplay, definetly has carved its name in history as one of the most innovating, breath of fresh air, and all around great game in its genre!

Game's as good as dead. It's a shame since, in its conception, it sounded like a really good idea.
Ever since they dropped the project, the game is literally a ghost town.
