You'll hear the same story. "It doesn't look like my type of game" until you sit down and lose 8 hours in 1 sitting. This happened to me too, and I've been hooked ever since.

The game encourages creativity and problem solving. I'm over 500 hours in and still thinking of new ideas and designs. This is the only game I've wanted to 100% and I achieved that goal with plenty more to do.

This is without mentioning the huge range of mods that can overhaul the entire game, using the built in mod manager.
