There is a lot to do and a lot to grind for. If you have friends to play with it becomes a lot of fun even if you're on an endless run just talking to your peeps. Also easy to get people hooked on since it's free.

From the perspective of someone who is returning to the game having not played since Destiny 1 year 3, I appreciate it. It feels familiar, but new enough, and since it's free and cross-save is enabled I was able to bring in new friends and play with old ones that switched consoles. It's been nice.

That being said, odd mechanics and a DLC+Season system make entering blind without a friend or guides makes for tough navigation. I like that the DLC includes the next year of seasons, I just wish Bungie/Microsoft/Steam/Sony would be more clear about what that pricey DLC is giving me and why it's worth it. I know I'm going to buy it, but I want to hit that "Purchace" button with confidence, y'know?
