Intro:
Before I review this DLC I would like to state my opinion of the game. I am a huge borderlands fan, from BL1 to BL2... but then came BL:TPS. The Pre-Sequel is a competent game on its own but as compared to BL2 it's worse in almost every way.
- NPCs are not memorable, some are even bad imo and I wish they weren't in.
- Legendary weapons are copies of those from BL1 and BL2.
etc. (this is not a TPS review)
Bottom line I wasn't the greatest fan of The Pre-Sequel and past playing it once or twice I couldn't stomach any more and then came this DLC.

Actual Review:
In short this is the best DLC for any borderlands game ever, even better than the Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC which up to this point was my favorite DLC for any game ever.

The DLC plays and feels more like BL2 than BL:TPS with the addition of the low gravity and double jump from BL:TPS which is an absolute blast.

Enemies are unique, while they could be considered as reskins of some of the previous enemies they're different enough for me to view them as new enemies.

The theme of the DLC makes everything looks and feels different even when you're visiting areas that existed in the previous two games BL1 and BL2. You enter claptrap's mind and go through his fragmented memories, or his own spin on those memories and live events that took place before, some of which you might be familier with and some that are brand new.

The story is very well written, it explains a lot about claptrap and other aspects of the Borderlands lore and it does it in a way that makes you appreciate that piece of metal whether you like it or not. It touches serious topics and can envoke emotions of sadness and joy.

The DLC introduces a new type of weapons, the glitched guns, basically it's a new rarity type that allows the glitched weapons to glitch and randomly perform not as intended like laser weapons shooting shotgun shells and more. Good weapons are also accessable unlike the base game, you might even find yourself in a situation not knowing which weapons to use because of how good/fun all of them are.

The maps ingame are beautifully designed, and they're different from one another causing the playthrough to remain fresh and enjoyable.

The side missions as well are the main quest line are interesting, non of which felt tedious and there wasn't much backtracking to be done. Once you finish the game you're met with a replayable arena-like side mission that's for once enjoyable and not generic unlike the previous arena-like quest chains in all of the Borderlands games, in that mission you can select different game modes as well as the difficulty level which gives it replay value especially since it's a short 1 round 3 waves mission.

Before you unlock that mission you get to fight the final boss and for once I can say ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! The end boss is a multi-stage boss with interesting and diverse mechanics, it is very difficult which is always welcome to me however some people seem to not be able to beat it yet and say that it's too difficult, with that said the prize you get is well worth it.

During the gameplay I encountered one bug with a vault symbol that is undiscoverable which is a bit odd to say the least especially since they had a similar bug in the base game which they had fixed however that is the only complain I can think of.

The DLC is of good length, around 5 hours long and I can easily see myself playing it multiple times. It absolutely redeems the Pre-Sequel and is worth the full price (You might still want to wait for a discount on the base game though).

Shooting games aren't usually my cup of tea but then there's Borderlands. The first game was a game that I sunk a large number of hours into (steam lies) because of how much fun it offered, Borderlands 2 takes everything that the first game has to the next level and adds even more.

The characters in the game have amusing dialogue that is rather funny and interesting, each has a different style and a unique personality, whether it's Cl4P-TP, Scooter, Handsome Jack or any of the many other character you'll encounter throughout the many adventures on Pandora.

While missions are usually to kill other creatures there's still a large diversity and I never felt that I was doing the same thing except for maybe some of the missions in the Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt DLC.

The game offers a number of DLCs and while that could be bad practice I have to give them credit for at least 2 of the main DLCs: Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty, and Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep for being excellent (I can even go as far as saying that Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep is beyond excellent and because of it Borderlands 2 is now my favorite game). Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage DLC is good fun, and Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt has its strong points but has some bad ones as well.

The game provides an interesting story line as opposed to its predecessor in addtion to connecting it to what little of story the first one did. There are moments of pure nostalgia for Borderlands fans, as well as plenty of easter eggs and references to all kind of different games, movies, and TV shows that kept me smiling throughout the game.

The game has very high replayability value, aside from 6 unique classes each class can be played in many different styles thanks to the massive number of different weapons and skills combinations, and the addition of the badass rank and badass tokens with the large collection of challenges, it also helps that the scenery and lighting ingame are impressive and beautiful to look at. Exploring everything and taking my time to finish most challenges I already have over 100 hours on a single character and I'm not yet done with all the DLCs on the Normal Mode, I still have many more hours before I even start True Vault Hunter Mode and Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode on that character alone.
