Let me keep this short. This is definitely a pickup if you are interested in any kind of narrative focused play.

You are playing as Max, a 18 year old girl who discovers that she can reverse time. You save your childhood friend, using your powers and discover that something is going on in Arcadia Bay. Now the duo of Chloe and Max are on to find out what is going on.

Most of your choices will actually reveal to have consequences further down the line. And the more you play, the more you learn about the characters, their motives and, of course, about Arcadia Bay and the earlier mentioned secret.

The beginning is somewhat slow, but if you start to find out what actually is going on, or at least think you know it, you will be hooked in already.

So I'm going to play this a little more, but here is my first impression of the game.

Thematically and mechanically it is just fine. You have to gather stuff to gather more stuff until you can finally use the items to escape the prison.

You have a daily routine where you need to attend otherwise the guards will beat you unconcious.

There is one thing, though, that is making this game somewhat hard to get into and may be a reason to not buy this game:

The tutorial is awfully short. The basic mechanics are getting taught, but they are not reinforced by challenges. Unless you are super quick to learn, you will be staying in your first prison for a while.


But I'm going back to the game to learn how I can beat the prisons :)

This is a game from the top down perspective where you are able to build your own prison while managing it aswell! You have to Schedule the day of the prisoners, watch out you have enough space for more prisoners and even create water and electricity paths.

While doing this, you need to hire staff do get access to some special features or objects, watch out, no prisoner escapes while making them somewhat happy so they don't start a riot.

I'm definitely recommending it, because it was an engaging experience so far and could've been classified as finished game by now.

Great Co-Op Game. If you have a friend, it is definitely worth it. You can be either destructive or productive and either one is fine (like in Magicka). Levels increase in difficulty.

It is really engaging. 9/10
