Just saw this on my library, a while after last playing it and just thinking of the game makes me depressed. 10/10 2 hour adventure, just play it.

The game's performance has been terrible for a while, getting low FPS, freezes, crashes, and very long loading times. There's other notable issues, like the AI being terrible Despite all this, the developers keep pushing out DLCs instead of fixing the game's many issues.

Incredibly fun game to play with friends, a bit rough around the edges on release, but it's improving quickly (also, no PSN required anymore!).

I don't play the game through Steam, so I don't have any playtime here, but I have 1000 hours in my other account. I have been playing this game since it had aircraft only, for so many years, but I eventually had to stop. Gaijin intentionally ruins their economy and punishes players for just playing the game, so paying is pretty much mandatory. They have now removed folders in the tech tree so players have to grind more, and they have increased repair costs (like they have been doing for years). War Thunder has one of the most aggressive monetisation systems I've seen in a F2P game.

Outside of that, balance is non-existent, things are kept overpowered intentionally so players pay to grind them and are then nerfed, some tiers are borderline unplayable, so are some poorly balanced nations, and so is the whole of naval. Powercreep happens constantly, particularly at higher tiers.

And this is just the short of it. This game is not worth anyone's time. Don't play it. And, by the way, like every single time one of these community outrages happen, Gaijin will probably end up throwing a bone at the playerbase without fixing any of the game's issues. Don't fall for it. We at least need a serious change and a complete economy overhaul.

As much as I liked this game, I find it hard to recommend it... An issue I have is the difficulty curve, as it's very hard to start, but once you know a few tricks it becomes very, very easy to make more and more money. The story is... Improvable. It has some high points but lacks a climax for an impactful ending (only one route stands out a bit, but not much), so it'll probably keep you interested to leave you thinking "wait, that's it?" at the end. The gameplay is generally fun and the best part of it imo, but also can get a bit repetitive, especially when the plot makes you grind for something and you're not minmaxing everything to get it asap.

And I know I'm not rating this too highly, but what can I say, I like the game despite its flaws because I like idols and I think a game about managing your idol group is a fun idea.

Who thought this game was a good idea lmao. Short, boring gameplay, boring story, you have to use a retarded OC in half the missions.

Amazing game!

Project Wingman is obviously a tribute to Ace Combat. The gameplay takes from AC, and there's many direct references to various games in the franchise. But I think it would be unfair to call PW simply "a tribute to Ace Combat", because it is a game that can properly stand out on its own.

The general gameplay is very AC-inspired, obviously. Standard missiles feel better (they pull some lead and not fly pure pursuit, unlike in AC). Weapons are a bit less varied than something like AC7, but the game gives you the ability to carry up to three special weapons per sortie, which I love and I hope they bring this to AC in the future. PW also has the AOA limiter, which is a lot of fun to play with, and guns in general are also much more fun to use.

The worldbuilding is pretty good, but the story itself has some weaknesses, however, it at least does a good job of being the background for the fun gameplay. The music has some banger tracks that complement the game pretty well.

All in all, PW is a game for every Ace Combat fan out there, and, really, anyone who might ever enjoy an Ace Combat game will definitely enioy Project Wingman.

This game captures the spirit of the Holy Trinity (4, 5, Zero), while making improvements in gameplay (more variety of missions), and of course the graphics look gorgeous. While I'm not sure whether i'd put it at the level of the Trinity, it's at least pretty close.

I think it's a good game, for a WW2 sim, it needs some polishing but the devs have already stated and proven they'll work on it and communicate with the players. I recommend it!

This is more of a review for the trilogy, but still spoilerless. As a visual novel, especially a "kinetic novel" with no choices, it's mainly about the story. And, let me say, the story is a damned 15/10. Regarding other technical aspects (sound, graphics) the first episode is a bit lacking, but this improves in the second and especially the third episodes. The three episodes are kind of separate, there is a four year gap between each, but they explain everything well, and the last one is a nice conclusion to the story and leaves no loose ends.

Getting a bit on the story, it's mainly about economics. I didn't know much about this so I had to use wikipedia/investopedia quite a bit, especially at the beginning and during the third episode, which is quite heavy on this. Even if I didn't have any previous interest on the topic, I do think I'm more interested in the dinance world now, so the story does a great job here.

In short, I think that as a VN it should be judged on the story and you can't get much better than this. Totally recommended
