I used to love this game, it was simple and you could ride whatever dragon you wanted and even customize them to your heart's content, they even added cool mini games later, but this does not excuse what they took out. I completed the game, can no longer properly level up my dragons without getting a 500 gem age up ticket to allow my dragon to fly so I can participate in the racing mini game , defending against the outcast ship, and the dragon tactics game, because apparently you have to be able to fly with a person on your back to be able to do that (costs five dollars for 525 gems for any how are thinking of aging up dragons like that, the price of the ticket gets cut to 250 gems after the first age up, but what is the point of doing that after being able to level up your dragon the first time, right?)

It is totally unrealistic that a miner would set off on a long journey to a buyer only to be given less when they show up ready to sell. The fastest commanders to sign up with a buyer would get the best prices, until the buyer's demand is lowered, then subsequent commanders would be offered less for a contract-but it would still be a contract, and when the goods are delivered on time, they know they can count on that payout. And let's remember too after all this--it is a game, and we are supposed to want to play for fun. Some of us work jobs where we have to deal with real contracts and supply and demand, and part of game playing is fantasy to have our cake and eat it too. If you don't want us to have fun, we will find games that offer fun and stay away from your product

This supply and demand sounds good but you need to have some reality too. If a real life mining company is going to transport goods to a buyer, they are going to have a firm commitment on price before they drive, or in this case, fly there. The buyers, or importers, should give a contract to a miner that needs to be delivered in X number of hours for a certain quantity range and be guaranteed a price. There are already missions to get a certain amount of a mineral, a Mining Rush, and a set price for doing that mission. So importers could advertise a price/quantity table, and commanders could sign up to fill a contract by agreeing to mine and deliver a certain amount of a mineral by a certain time. If they fail to deliver, there could be a fine like with missions.

Here's an idea: if people are having fun with your game, and new players are joining in droves, let them have fun, and amp it up even by making other parts of the game more exciting. If others want to whine that there is too much fun going on, and don't like mining or trading but begrudge those getting paid more than them by doing it, don't let that spoil the party that is making your game popular. Making one aspect of the game go from fun and well paid to a grind overnight to make it equal to other parts of the game is stupid. Make combat the highest paid endeavor, let mining be profitable but make it more dangerous with npc pirates and such, and let other commodities bring profits to traders too.
