As a mechanic myself, I have a mixed opinion on this game.

If you are wanting to learn car parts, this game is great. The only thing i would say is that some of the parts have different names in different countries, as in. the "Sway bar" is known as the "Anti-Roll bar" In england so just take that in mind.

So what I mean is, this game is very helpful if you want to put names to parts if you are in education of car mechanics however DO NOT expect to learn how to work on cars properly from this game. This game puts it in the simplest form it can be. You cant play a few hours on this game and then go repair a car, all the little fiddly bits and procedures are skipped out of this game and all cars are different whereas these cars within the car seem to follow the same build.

I'd also like to point out, the mechanic jobs are unrealistic. For example, when replacing Brake Discs/Pads, you should always fit new ones both sides whether its front or rear. Realistically you should never only replace one side because then the brakes will be unbalanced and its dangerous.

This game is a entertaining, a good way to pass time and learn at the same time but like i said, dont expect to go away from this game knowing everything about how cars work because there is A LOT missing, this game is just for fun. You dont have to follow strict guidelines or have to make certain procedures like in reality like changing brake fluid. Personally, as soon as i get into the swing of the game i cant stop.

But this game is very good if you want to learn the basics and like i said, its a good way to pass time.

From what I gathered, the aim is to rebuild your dads car to a rally specification to rally it. Which is great because my dad is a rally driver, i love rally.

However,
Along the way I found the subwoofer and stereo in the catalog and decided to purchase.

I installed them into my car and tested it.

Being a basshead, I added bass boosted songs. This is where my speakers blew up, when you have a subwoofer installed the game enhances the bass on the tracks you've place in your Radio folder. It sounded amazing.

Now this where I had a big decision, Rally or Bass?

Undecided, I now have a Rally car with some extra weight to blast my tunes out. Not great idea realistically but still managed 1st place in the rally.

In all seriousness though, for people who came to find a legitimate review, the game is a great game and very time consuming however one small hiccup and you've lost it all so I suggest making frequent backups. Very entertaining and keeps you busy constantly. Once your car is finished you also get a very proud sensation come over you in that you built this car all yourself and it works.

Its very good game, its older but i still love playing it! It works with my Logitech G27 setup however steering is confusing because in game the steering wheel on the car has a full lock but it doesnt output as of large as a turn I am making on my steering wheel. Other than this, the game is fabulous with nice detailed cars. Its a good, fun, long lasting and challenging game.

Love this game, had it since 2012 but didnt buy it on steam for a little while after. An amazing, super realistic game and has burnt a hole in my pocket by making me upgrade my PC to run it but it doesnt matter its all worth it! Love this game, one of the best of all time in my opinion (coming from a truck- scania - fan).

Very good game. Probably the only game in which i have a higher FPS in the game than i do in the menu. Very good game, simple and easy to learn. As a real life training mechanic it is fairly realistic but obviously its been made a lot easier and appealing than in reality (and a lot less painful lol). Very good game, would reccomend.
