Loads of fun, and worth the money especially on sale. More enjoyable in VR, though using a physical HOTAS is preferable in my opinion

This is an exploration and story game, disguised as a farming game. The economy will break if you try to min-max it, so maybe don't use Largo slimes and it would be better? idk

The balance is all off. It took me 14 days in-game and 4 hours real-time for money to become meaningless. All the upgrades that make the gameplay more enjoyable are locked behind items you find scattered throughout the map in small quantities (the gameplay of moving through the world, exploring, and collecting, specifically). This means you need to spend vastly more time out and about than tending to your slimes. I ended up in a position where I essentially had to let my slimes "starve" to progress the game. This isn't exactly an issue, the slimes don't die, but it feels weird. I would have had to spend an inordinate amount of time pumping out food and prepping all the feeders to support the slimes for the multiple days I'd be gone, and why would I do that when I don't even need their plorts for money anymore?

Additionally, they give you all these cool devices and tech you _could_ place all around the map, but no you can't because those also need the same exploration items you find in twos and threes in a few places on the map each day. I could have literal hundreds of any given plort, tens of thousands of dollars, but I don't have enough of the other items to utilize what they put in the game.

It's a fun game--I'm enjoying it and I think those with a calmer play style would enjoy it, but it feels off. Like I said in the beginning, the farming and exploring aspects are not well balanced. The "difficulty" curve is nearly a straight line up, except the difficulty is unlocking the sweet new shoes they showed you from day one, or the ability to sprint a little further, or hold more things so you can explore longer before having to return or find a place to store them.

Fun, kinda "turn your brain off" game. I wouldn't recommend trying to speed through everything, that could get frustrating with how the resource requirements scale and the ongoing effort you have to put in to gathering. If you take it slow and give in to your "I want to make everything nice and flat with nice ramps" etc etc vibe, it's very enjoyable. Especially as a hang out and chat with friends while doing something kind of game.

Unfortunately I've had a lot of crashing issues, and I don't really know why. In singleplayer the game doesn't save until you save and quit, or if you enter a vehicle. In multiplayer, as long as the host isn't the one crashing you lose no progress when you reconnect.

It makes my brain release the good juice. Great if you want to be completely unfocused and jump around building this and that creating a beautiful rats nest of conveyor belts. Or if you want, you can make things nice and tidy.

Definitely not 100% solid (the multiplayer moreso). Sometimes things get janky and a save-reload is needed to fix it, but completely functional and nothing game breaking or even that aggravating. Excited to see how it grows.

_LOVE_ it. Were able to get an excessive amount of loot unless you only did the main tasks, but that also makes sense as a first level of a planned multi-level game. Love the art design, love the gameplay and how quickly you can die if you mess up, love the sound design. Is fun.

Edit:
I wrote a whole thing but LOST IT T_T. I really like the alert mechanic in this game. It's a bar across the bottom that indicates sight or hearing, and the game is very explicit about how fast it's moving and what is causing it to raise or lower. This allows you a lot of freedom to move how you want, less fear of feeling the need to sneak all the time.

Also what's neat is that the alert bar is singular no matter how many enemies are noticing you, which is something I hadn't experienced before. So if you are getting heard by one enemy and kill them, but can still be heard by another, the bar continues to fill up without emptying.

Incredible new spin. Had to sleep on most of the most of the puzzles to figure them out. Lots of fun.

Heck yeah play this game. Feels *extremely* good in VR. One of the better implementations of melee combat I've experienced. It's tense, difficult, exciting, and fun.
