Going in blind and exploring is good. All I knew it had good reviews, which turned out just right amount of info to know beforehand.

Sometimes controls are fiddly, and platforming isn't as tight as it would be on a single planet, but overall it's an exciting world that's tied up. It's not overwhelmingly perfect, as there are no voice-overs also. But it brings me memories of Parkan, and I feel comfortable in this solar system.

Was looking for language learning games, this one seems to be targeted just for that, and I'm at A1 (when click-through dialogues work better than live speech), but problem is the story's writing looks subpar, and I feel like playing a generic point-and-click. And it lacks double captioning in 2 languages, which works exactly in cases when my vocabulary is lacking.

Also it's not well made. It lacks a feature of saving words in personal dictionary. And travelling from one place to another - there're no shortcuts like an in-game map, you can't even double-click to skip the walking. Interface for opening doors is tedious - SCUMM adventure and such fazed them out for a reason - here basic "look at" doesn't offer good dialogue that would make me curious to look at everything, so there's no point to have it as a separate option to scroll through every time I switch between talking and using. It's disengaging. And If I'm not engaged - simply watching animation wits Spanish dub and captions would work just as nice if not better for diving into the language.

It could be a good solo learning tool, but for game to actually be enjoyable I'll have to either play with a teacher or manually check the dictionary. Quest logic plus walking times are tedious already, and adding a language wall on top of that - something gotta pay off.

Animations are nice, but the art-style just generates a craving to go back to Kyrandia, when I didn't know English but just enjoyed doing whatever.

Vibe is right to play through locally or with remote play, and we easily completed it in 10-20 minutes with a partner.

Timeless masterpiece, finished it long ago and it still has infinite replay value with mods and custom levels.

Wanted a short adventure and got it, moderately mysterious, got stuck on a couple tasks, and overall I feels it has nice balance of exploration, quests, hidden extras & main campaign (there's NG+ for 100%, speed running and such, but I returned only to give bone to the dog).

D-pad and two button controls - makes it a cool arcade cabinet game. Got some tech issues of game running half-speed at first launch, and fighting ain't quite tight, but those issues were light, while the bare minimum of what should be in a complete game is working and leaves a good aftertaste.

Majestic. I love how software games become a follow-along supporting thing for physical items. It's not like Valve's doing a assembling eco-system, but providing space for others to do it better in some regard, while starting a cool thing. Mobile platforms just tend to be all proprietary, might allow others in at some point, but in Valve's users' participation is implied from the start, just allowing something to be desired, rather than completing product with an ending. Neat fiddly thing, can be a toy, can be a puzzle piece.

Animations aren't finished, navigation feels awkward (and camera is too close), pacing doesn't work with the atmosphere, jump scares are cheap. Horror genre can be so much better, and Alone in the Dark deserves more work.

It's one of rare labors of unending development and care games, 7 years old and still update 1.6 incoming. It's great both in solo and coop, has modding community, speedrunning folks, works just as a chill place or some industrial excercise where you can look for maximizing profits.

I'm generally afraid of games with grinding potential, but questlines starting from daily errand from bulletin boards and ending on Ginger Island offer some ending points, arbeit 100% perfection is quite a long task to not skip with using some external help. I didn't mod, but thinking back going for SMAPI at least for not switching to wiki as often and animation cancelling shortcut would make progression so much more manageable.

It's great how this game manages having potential both for casual and for min-maxing, and personally for me I would love to play it casually, but I can't chill untill chests are sorted. So might not be the perfect game for me, as there are some pitfall where I'm lead in optimizing tasks multiple times rather than just solving a puzzle, but there just so much charm in betweeen, that I'm greatful how it allows my brain to switch for a while, even if it's just chopping wood and wishing minigame for an hour.
