game is full of cheaters and devs are too busy with milking the players for more money

very fun and sexy would recommend

s5 is the end result of a year of stubborn development and incompetent developers

donkey crew has successfully removed every last fun part of the game

honestly, I'm impressed


EDIT: most recent update looks like a step in the right direction

not quite enough to make the game good, but its at least somewhat hopeful for the games future

short version - bad game made of default assets, devs dont care about the community or making a decent game, one of the worst communities ive seen in a game for a long time

dont touch this game with a 10 foot pole

long version - ive played this game for around 1400 hours and am part of what is widely considered the best pvp faction in the entire game

trust me, this game is a pile of garbage, you should stay far far away from it

part 1: the game
empyrion is a mediocre space building game that is sold on its survival elements
the building feels terrible and lacks a lot of the components of other building games meaning that building is an overall clunky and unrewarding experience
the textures and models are low quality and/or default assets
the game itself is extremely laggy due to the devs incompetence and their reluctance to optimize anything in the game, even with a high end modern pc this game will still be a laggy mess
the survival is nearly non-existent and instantly becomes a joke if you have 3 functioning brain cells, same with all the pve parts of the game

part 2: the community

disgusting

although this games community doesnt seem *that* toxic on the surface, the amount of admin abuse and pure stupidity will make you want to rip your eyes out
examples:
-hordes of players that will defend the devs no matter what and screech constantly
-players that dont know how to use a mouse
-players that scream to admins if theres any challenge
-admins that will ban you for being decent at the game/
-admins that will ban you for being associated with someone who was associated with us years ago in a different game (real thing that happened)
-admins that will compile lists of you, your faction, and everyone in your discord and then spread that around as a list of players to ban (also separate real thing that happened)
-servers full of players with admin perms who blatantly use said perms to give themselves advantages while claiming they never had perms (another separate real thing that happened, search XPA vs TEK on youtube)
-other various cancer

and finally
part 3: the devs (theyre probably gonna delete this review because of this part lol)

the devs of this game will refuse any criticism directed towards them and pretend that there are no issues with the game, even when their community is leaving the game due to all the issues

the devs also are extremely incompetent and dont understand what theyre even talking about
ex. taelyn talking about how the new unity garbage collection will solve all lag, even though that unity garbage collection would only spread out the small stutters that happen roughly every 30 seconds

also, the same devs will endlessly try to keep you from talking about issues with the game by deleting anything you say and/or banning you if you happen to be someone they dont like

if that isnt enough to convince you, the devs have falsely accused one of my faction members of sending them death threats and that they were going to take legal action against my faction member
shockingly enough, they never did take legal action because they made the whole thing up just as an excuse to ban him
if you ask the devs about this theyll probably just ignore you and delete anything you say because falsely accusing the community of making death threats isnt exactly a great look


tl;dr game bad dont buy, refund if you already bought it
