The platforming feels floaty and a lot of the times unbalanced, but moving around the world can feel very relaxing and freeing at times. The writing here is very sharp and the characters and story are all fun and memorable, only let down by the underwhelming sound mix in certain key moments. Combat is pretty weak all around, with almost no enemy variety and very little options for encounters, something I feel they have specifically addressed in the sequel.

Despite the game's shortcomings, it's still a fun time and a must play for any fan of 3d platformers/collectathons and/or those interested in trying out the sequel.

Worth it for the PvE alone. Runs at any resolution you want, runs up to 60 FPS unlike the original unmodded, and doesn't have gimped controls like the PC version of Dark Souls II.

This is by far the most linear of the Dark Souls games but also the most streamlined, polished, fair of the three. The game still does get difficult, especially in the DLC, but they've kept the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to a minimum and the game feels like a genuine challenge.

There are so many other metroidvanias with better stories, movesets, combat, exploration, secrets, animations, visuals out on Steam, this game feels dull in comparison, I got bored halway through my playthrough and it's been a struggle to keep playing longer

Loading times are the fastest of any COD game in recent years even with cached shaders, performance is very smooth. However, I can't finish a single game session due to the frequent disconnects, the community is as toxic as ever, and aimbotters run rampant, don't even bother downloading the beta. Also crashed frequently in the intro sequence.

This game borrows many ascepts of pupolar franchises like God of War, Prince of Persia and most notably, Zelda. It never reaches the height of either of those games but is fun in its own right. The pacing of the main quest feels perfect; this game is just as long as its sequel but never did I feel it drag along. If you have to play a Darksiders game, get the remaster of this version.

I feel pretty spoiled getting this game as a $1 bundle, but you shouldn't pay any more for this game.

The game has poor pacing and narrative, distasteful setpieces, half of the weapons suck, and the bosses are god awful. Multiplayer is also completely dead and the rest of the package has virtually no extras.

Very content heavy, all of the main sigil puzzles can be beaten without any outside guide. Trying to get to the games many easter eggs and hidden star sigils though will be a huge challange, admitedly, I had to look up 1 or two star sigis. (Have a smartphone on hand)

You could very well skip the story elements of this game and have nothing detremental to the actual gameplay, though it is there if you want to chase for some achievements and alternate endings and are a nice edition to the game.
