It's extremely fun... on the off chance that you don't crash or get paired up with people who aren't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I can't recommend it in it's current state.

I would probably rank this game third in the souls series, below Bloodborne at #2 and the original Dark Souls at #1. That doesn't mean this game isn't great too! I really like how fast paced this game is compared to the other Dark Souls titles which can feel tanky at times. I also really like the snowy environment and overall atmosphere. If I had to criticize one element of the game it would be multiplayer. When you invade, you usually end up in a 3v1 or even worse... but co-op is still as fun as ever. I would reccomend this to anyone who enjoyed the earlier souls games.

(I received this game for free as a gift from my friend)
Good:
-Satisfying Gunplay
-You can use strategy and planning that add more layers to the game (builds, preplanning, etc)
-Difficulty is extremely scalable, starts at normal and has 5 more difficulties until one down. 7 difficulties in total.
-Lovable characters.
-All contracts have great replayability, which is a necessity because you'll be replaying contracts a lot.
-Okay-ish story, it doesn't really have a cohesive narrative, it's more like each contract builds more on the lore of different characters.

Bad:
-DLC. I'm actually not sure if I should include this because they are permanently lowering the price of DLC, which is extremely good of them, because before it was like over a hundred dollars for all of it.
-Unoptimized. Some maps work fine, some don't. They really should all work fine, because this game was originally designed for last gen consoles, and my PC is way more powerful than those.

8/10

Fallout: New Vegas is an amazing RPG and undoubtly the best 3D fallout title. It follows the story of a courier who's been shot in the head and left for dead with no memory of who they were, what they were delivering, or who the man who shot them was. Immediately, the game gives your character questions and motivation, without giving your character too much backstory. This allows for immersion as you get to create whatever character you want without constraints put in place, like in other fallout games such as 3 making you an 18 year old vault dweller, or 4 making you a married military veteran.

The game's biggest strength is it's grey morality. You start out in a small town about to be attacked by a vicous dynamite throwing gang. This sortof parallels fallout 4's beginning, where you save the minutemen from the raiders. However, in New Vegas, you can side with the gang, where as fallout 4 has made a decision on morality for you already. This freedom of choice allows for a dynamic experience in the mojave where you can pick and choose which factions are "bad" and "good" according to your character's motivations rather than have the game decide for you.

There are a few bad things about this game though. It's shooting mechanics are really clunky and you will miss a lot of deserved shots. Also, physics are really wonky and animations look pretty stiff and unrealistic. And the graphics don't do this game a lot of favors. And ontop of all this, the game is really unoptimized and buggy, and your game will undoubtly crash multiple times before you beat the game. This may seem like a lot of downsides, and you're right it is. Sometimes they make the game frustrating but it makes sense considering this game was only made in 18 months. Not that that excuses anything.

Here's a general list of all the good and bad things this game has to offer:
Good:
-Amazingly well written and immersive story
-Many different outcomes
-Gray morality which allows for more scenarios
-Interesting world and lore
-A lot of quests (were talking almost double fallout 3's amount)
-Many different possible character builds which allows for different playstyles
Bad:
-Clunky shooting mechanics
-Bad graphics, unoptimized
-Bugs and crashed galore
