Thus far, it's what I was expecting of a sequel. The PC port works very well, and the game feels smooth.

Very good game, especially multiplayer where you play as England and go for early war on France, so you're screwed and on a constant deficit and your friend (who plays as Portugal) bails you out with 1700 ducats :)

You can dislike Paradox for their DLC policy all you want, but I think this DLC works just fine, and the game-breaking bugs that were present at release have been pretty much fixed by now. In my latest playthrough as GB, I had as smooth of a game as one can ask for. Regarding the overwhelming majority of negative reviews, I do not think that they reflect the current state of the DLC. So, if you want to try it out, I would say that it is worth the try. Maybe just wait until sale as per usual with PDX titles.
