I don't recommend this game (anymore) as the devs have said they will effectively no longer be supporting it. Online features axed, and they say they aren't storing any new builds. You will only ever play against the shadow of someone who once enjoyed the game.

I really liked it at first and was excited to see future updates and that's all but confirmed to not be happening anymore. I wouldn't recommend getting INTO this game as you won't see any fixes or updates. They basically should have delisted the game since it's not being supported. I wonder if this was part of the plan all along, feels slimy.

Pretty short for an idle game and missing a ton of features relative to the competition. Not really worth the cost in my opinion.

(I beat the game in less than 8 hours with most of that being afk)

Fun game but very light on content at the moment. Hoping the game continues to get updated and more areas are added (seems to be the plan).

Unfortunately I have to give this game a negative review.

I really liked it for a little bit, learning about the lock system, learning about the world, seeing new areas and monsters. Then I played more and realized that there is effectively no progression in the game. You will use the same 2 spells on the main characters for almost the entire game, eventually getting a third spell. There are a bunch of combos you can get but those are very limited and not your main kit. You will spend over 60% of your actions just doing raw attacks to generate MP. I enjoyed the combat at first, it felt satisfying to be rewarded for timing attacks and blocks and cancelling enemy attacks by filling the locks. I just need a sense of progression and RPG games that I play, and this one did not have that. Getting a flat number boost on level up with no perk tree, no skill progression, no unlocks and a linear gear progression just isn't very rewarding.

That's just the gameplay and moment-to-moment, which is usually what sells me on games. Surely the writing and story can salvage the dull gameplay? Wrong. I have never seen more nothing-burger main characters in my entire life. I challenge anyone playing this game to tell me one personality trait that the main girl has different from the main guy. If you said hair color you win, that's it. They're so bland and uninteresting, just passengers in a story that is effectively about them. The best friend of the main characters is the ACTUAL main character, he's the one who actually interacts with villains, says he'll save the village, so on. GARL IS THE MAIN CHARACTER?! I personally can't get invested into such flat and boring characters. I swear their most common dialogue is just saying "..." as garl actually responds to NPCs. Maybe the world building takes off eventually but I couldn't get invested to get to that point.

Overall I wish I could like this game because I did for the first couple hours. It's just that the formula didn't change nearly enough to keep it spicy. An RPG with no progression? Wrong genre.

Filled with bots in multiple modes. 3v3 team arena mode is exclusively bots and it's basically impossible to lose. Really rough monetization on the skins and incredibly slow unlocks for characters. Greedy and bad, do not recommend.

I really like this game. Feels good, looks pretty, and a wonderful soundtrack.

I do wish the long term progression was a bit more in depth but there is tons of traits, weapons and trinkets to unlock so it's not like you can just rush through it.

PLEASE REMOVE THE SUDDEN DEATH MECHANIC FROM CO OP! IT SUCKS SO MUCH!
Or at the very least rework it to not be a one-shot regardless. You can have litterally 400 health and will die in 1 hit if your partner went down. I hate this feature so much.

Ok so I do like the core way this game plays, but it's super shallow.
You realize very quickly that filling up the star count is just a matter of having more rooms overall. You also realize that making the star count gold is just a matter of filling every room with enough wall junk to max out its "prettiness"

I do enjoy putting the rooms together and trying to organize a sort of "flow" to it. It's satisfying to set up little pitstop areas for the heroes and watching them go through the dungeon. Trying to balance lethality ends up being pretty fun. Very quickly will you have seen all you will do in the game, though. I beat the game without even seeing the third tier of enemies because it just didn't matter. As long as you keep your meters filled, build lots of rooms, put a few rooms for food and drinks and rest, you'll just win.

I'd like to see more systems implemented in this game. More things for the heroes to do, more interesting ways for monsters to be used, more utility out of traps and other non-creature defenses. Fun concept but so far shallow execution. You wouldn't be able to pay me to do another run through this game unless some big features were added to spice up the gameplay loop. Fun for a night, hope it gets updated. Thumbs up because I don't feel as though my time was wasted.

Have to agree with all the recent reviews. The recent October 2024 update has made this game a lot less hype. The overall pace of each level has slowed down dramatically. It is now harder to get items for no reason at all. I like the game and think it has potential, but this isn't the right direction.
