The title mentions Yakuza,

Fully expect to be one with the Yakuza,

Get immediately expelled from the Yakuza,

I hate my Baka Mitai life.

I'm not going to use my review to challenge Nemlei over the controversial route we can take this titular duo. I just wish the writing for everything was as maintained at the same level as Andrew and Ashley.

In these 2 chapters, the stuff I'm reading to assist in building the world, the side characters, and the interactables feel like an afterthought with barely any effort to disguise it besides some odd, misplaced humor.

In the middle of chapter 1, I was tuned into the TV in the apartment and the newscaster was saying:

"Should you feel the urge to help [the quarantined], the staff will be administering bullets directly into your brain as a thank you."

Excuse me? Who talks like this? I'm not a writer by any means, but aren't there more appropriate deliveries than this? Now that I think about it, most scenes involving televisions come off rather poorly, to me at least.

I also came up to a door to some house in Chapter 2 and I guess the owner of said house unfortunately has the last name "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥". Admittedly, it sounds pretty funny now, but the siblings are constantly mouthing off at one another. At this point, it just comes off as overdone.

I understand that this is a dark comedy, but at the same time I think there is some very interesting ToxiSoda lore on the side that Nemlei should be handling more seriously and delivered less awkwardly.

The music, puzzles, and visuals are great (carried heavily by Ashley), but even then, at this current state, I'd have to say it's a 5/10. Still, I look forward to a 3rd chapter and locking a girl with asthma in a dusty old box.

The players in Fallout 76 are some of the nicest people you could ever play with.

Also this game has the Enclave.

Got this game for co-op, turns out you're just sharing a world, with zero progress globally.

In order to do the missions you gotta scrounge around for quest items, terribly dished out by some random number generator.

If however, that RNG dumpster was already picked clean by a friend [and most likely the others ones in the area], you're forced to go deeper into the city, which causes you to trigger a street thug. Can your friends help you out of this? Can they maybe jump into the fray like actual homeless people? No. They're probably off "surviving" on their own because you don't share mission progress and loot is scarce, or standing idly watching you do this SINGLE-PLAYER turn-based text combat.

Atrocious experience. Keep the $30, and go outside. You'll at least be ahead of actual homeless people.
