The gameplay is great with everything you can expect from a survival and also in terms of combat, really fantastic ideas, design and world from the just 4hrs of gameplay so far I'm impressed by that.

What makes not recommend this game is the painstaking latency when playing on an online server, currently that being the only way of playing co-op with a friend, that alone makes the experience subpar and tramples the nice fantasy world this game. Just let us host our own damn local servers and play with friends, this simply doesn't make sense in my mind even from a business perspective, you are paying for those servers and they are not good enough for this game anyway.

The game is not abandoned like others say, they've been posted dev blogs and in fact it's an amazing game, the combat is satisfying, progression seems at a good pace so overall very well worth it's money considering the prices to today's game and their quality by those standards this game is AMAZING.

Boss mechanics are fairly simple, but I'm excited to see more either way, the combat and variety of weapons compensated for this so far.

Now to address the other reviews: This game started with 5 devs and they actually made sales from their game and now they are scaling up to 20 devs, stop complaining like little BlTCHES let them cook, this doesn't deserve the mixed reviews you massive ♥♥♥♥♥.

It's just freaking bad, a lot of friction, lots of popups that block the gameplay instead of being some nice note on the side, camera angle is horrible some sort of failed offspring of a 3rd person view and top down view from the side, controls are awful not alike any other game and the menu is confusing as ♥♥♥♥.

Also back to the popups, in the CHARACTER CREATOR when I try to make any change warning me that this WILL CHANGE MY CHARACTER APPEARANCE - isn't that the purpose of the CHARACTER CREATOR?!

Combat seemed good enough, but I can't stand all the interruption in gameplay and the camera lock, awful.

Tired of PC controls being 2nd thought, I choose to play on PC because I like the many buttons available for me to add convenient binds to them, even after you posted an update where you claim to have improved controls it's still awful the very basic TAB for inventory used by most PC GAMES is not available clearly 'cause this game was thought for consoles.

Just don't release on PCs if you don't care about the experience of PC users.

Edit: Left that review in a moment of frustration over what seems like an "industry standard" these days, but I still mean it: Stop releasing on PC if you are not providing a proper user experience for mouse and keyboard, that's the freaking main audience here.

For some more constructive feedback:

Game has great graphics, pretty low bar to beat but it is amazing that you've managed to fix how the game runs and that I can run a new (and early access) game on what is fairly high end PC (5800x / 3070Ti / 32gb RAM).

Animations feel really great, for a second I felt just the same feelings of greatness felt when playing god of war, even the basic attack felt like it did something and enemies actually reacted to my attack, as opposed to many other game were I feel like I just hit my enemy with a freaking paper sword.

And there ends the good things, sadly.

As mentioned above the keyboard support is awful. I want my freaking TAB for inventory yet you locked that specific key. Many actions can't be remapped. Actions I've remapped still show the old key binding in the UI tips, that's just AWFUL keyboard support, hardly bare minimum.

I mentioned enemies seemingly reacting to my attacks, yet that's what it ended up being, just a feeling, even though it might seem like I caught them into a staggering animation with my repeated attacks, they can attack me back in the middle of their animation, but I can be staggered (not able to attack or dodge or parry) when they catch me in a flurry of attacks.

There then another element, specific to souls-like combat to be fair, but in the hopes you want to make a difference as you claim... I don't understand the animation blocking mechanics, if I start an attack why can't that animation be cancelled by my press of the parry/dodge button.

I want a fluid combat system, if I see the enemy attacking me no matter what I am doing I should be able to discard that action and be able to counter that (be it parry or dodge).
Sitting and waiting while watching the screen to understand enemy patterns can't be all the challenge souls-like offer, why am I being punished for having aggressive combat style with the intent to be able to react to the combat dynamically?

GIve me a fluid fighting mechanics where I feel like I'm in control of my actions.

Leaving this as a reminder for what happened:

Releasing an update that one must connect to your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ network 4 months after the game has launched is totally unacceptable and definitely not necessary. ON TOP OF THAT, they claim it's for security after being hacked so many times one might wonder if they didn't just sell the data for a profit and labeled it as a hack to be honest.

No thanks and kindly ♥♥♥♥ OFF SONY.

The review:

Arrowhead Studios, this game is like a breath of fresh air with it's modern graphics and hilarious story that truly unified all gamers be it PS, XBOX or PC something no one was able to do before - Thank you for creating it and thanks for sticking with the gamers through the whole Sony charade!

Just with an hour or so of game-play I can already tell this game has no reason to have very positive reviews.
Performance is not even half-decent - on a 3440x1440 monitor backed up by a Ryzen 5800X & an RTX 3070Ti I'm stuck around 40-50 fps on medium with DLSS on performance
Key bindings are wack - Who ever thought of the controls for this game on PC need to be fired, you couldn't have gone more out of your way to make gamers muscle memory make it impossible to play. You don't freaking switch weapons, you press 1 for your primary, 2 secondary, 3 for blades and so on. And for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake who was the animal thinking crouch on Left Alt is a thing? - yeah I can thankfully change it but what the actual ♥♥♥♥

Other-wise yes, good game, I like the idea, I like the randomly generated levels, it's challenging, just those two things above are an absolute essential to fix if this is meant to be playable, I'm not going to consider this game ever again if that's not fixed.

Most stupid thing I ever seen, you ban mouses because of macros players can do to achive no recoil? How dumb devs must be? How can other games accept them? You must be out of your freaking minds.
