Awesome DLC, the fact that you get punished with huge damage when you get hit makes things interesting, I like the challenge, I was hoping for something like this, I'm a bit rusty since I finished the main game 2 years ago and I didn't play any souls lately and I'm dying a lot not gonna lie, but this is what it is.
Just git gud.

Praised for artistic value, original sound design and extremely detailed facial expressions. it's something the I don't even classify as a videogame, It's a glorified tech demo with basic repetitive gameplay, boring puzzles and a story that personally didn't even like.
And I've seen people play the second game and it's even worse.

I finally got the chance to play this "hidden gem" that a lot of reviewers call amazing or one of the most underrated rpgs of all time.
And after finishing the game I'm just disappointed, extremely bland and uninspired, it takes all the rpg stereotypes and put them all together trying to be the ultimate role playing game.
The game just feels like when you do extremely boring sidequests in a mmorpg just to level up and get to the good stuff with epic fight and challenging boss encounters, but here that never happens.
The world is big, too big and the combat is repetitive with same enemies with reskins and a slightly different attack pattern. The lore, the story and the music are not that bad.
Make yourself a favor and just skip this even if it's on sale. Maybe back in the days was worth your time, but in 2024 there are a lot of games with more depth a better combat system and better dev support.

I have to be honest, i played divinity original sin 1 and 2 and I didn't like them, so I was skeptical about this, but I ended up buying the game at day one because i really like Baldur's Gate and DnD and wanted to give this a try.

And the game is amazing! I was genuinely surprised, I mean it's not perfect, there are some flaws, but the world, the quests, the characters, the combat system are rock solid. The characters are actually interesting and well written.

But the best thing is the freedom you have, they give you the tools to play the game the way you want, so many approaches so many combinations of races, classes, subclasses, multiclasses that actually feels like you are playing like it''s a nice tabletop DnD campaign.

It was a blast from start to finish and for me there's no contest, this deserves the 2023 game of the year award.

OS: Windows 11
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
Memory: 64 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (10 GB)
Storage: Installed on a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2

Still I'm experiencing vram issues and crashes, and for me it's the first time and I played all the AAA games at release even cyberpunk was running far better than this, I'm disappointed. The hotfixes did almost nothing, waiting for a big patch to update my review.

*update 17/04/2023* after nvidia drivers updates and a couple of patches the game runs better than release, the textures look as they should and i experienced just 2 crashes. I played the game high settings with dlss balanced with an 70 fps average on a 4k screen, but the vram requirements are still absolutely insane.

The game is good, i mean a lot of people call this a masterpiece and i can see why, especially console people. I enjoyed the main game, the dlc not so much, but I still going to recommend this if you have really good hardware to run it and you used to own consoles when you were a kid and you have naughty dog nostalgia.

I like the first one more than this, but you get to cast some high level spells.

The Awful Adventures of Captain Spirit, I mean i don't like it but they give you the possibility to try for free, that deserve some praise.

This is underrated, it's not that bad at least they tried something different. I like it more than Black Flag.
