To be honest, I'm new to Soul's games. This game was at times depressing and hard at first, like the first 20-30 hours. I then decided to kill as many things as possible and get them runes and level up. After I started leveling up, I decided to watch some youtube videos and slowly learnt gaming tactics, crafting, how to find specific enemies, and so on. Eventually, by the time I reached level 85 I had not even fought a main boss, but going around the entire map exploring. About 50-60 hours into the game, when I felt really strong, I slowly started winning bosses, which I will tell you is one of the best feelings. I have been playing 100+ hours now and I have to burn the erdtree, I have taken a step back, and take the next 20-30 hours or more to explore the entire map, finish as many side quests and kills as many bosses before continuing. Yes i have found loop holes to farm runes, but believe me, that's what keeps me going. So far, I'm not that great at this game, I'm just overpowered due to grinding and along with some skill I'm able to overcome major obstacles. Love this game

cut scenes are simple, not much detail
game seems to be ok. bought this game last year and returned it, not worth buying

at first it's hard to adapt, once you get used to it, you will always love it
